Sanatani:
Maybe the author is Hindu with a Muslim sounding name because of the Aurangzeb like tendencies of Pakistanis? In which case she may be Dhimmi?

Fiza -- you can be looking towards a bright future as far as your priorities and your writings are concerned -- more power to your expressive pen -- and more humaneness to your activist heart.

vengat garu, not at all. I must own up to the responsibility if I fail to communicate.
Not that it would have mattered had those things been mentioned, but I went back and checked. This is one of the few articles on chowk that does not make ANY reference to Islam or Muslimness. So the fault must be entirely mine.

The young lady seems to be a bright, young person, good for herself, her family, and her society. If and when we know more about her views, we can say more, but with only what we have, IMHO, we can all give her a big thumbs up...

Majumdar; No he has not said those. But my impression is, he has always said it implicitly.
Sorry Eklavya if I have got you wrong...

Vengy Garu,
(Where is the different aspiration, gratification you've been telling us. )
Has Kaal bhai ever said that an Islamic mindset abhors pursuit of knowledge, professional success or getting ahead in life.
Regards
PS: Maybe Kaal bhai can also chip in.

Re: # 3
Eklavaya, so do you mean to say that the author is far removed from his Islamic mindset and we from our own when we jointly appreciate Saba?

Re: # 3; Eklavya,
"There is obviously full commonality between the two if we take the Indian mindset out of Indians and Islam out of Muslims."))
For once Eklavya, I fully agree with that statement of yours. It almost surprised me that if THAT is the REAL Eklavya, we have far more in common then I originally thought!

Huh?
Vengat gaaru, what are we talking about? There is obviously full commonality between the two if we take the Indian mindset out of Indians and Islam out of Muslims.
Or did you have something else in mind?
Best regards.

Eklavya Brother,
Where is the different aspiration, gratification you've been telling us. Agreed that the Muslim mindset could be different but there should be enough meeting grounds.
