wonderful,If it is a fantasy then a fantasy should it be. The more Unbelievable the more adventure, graphics thrills the more lovable for me like Narnia 1, King Kong, Lords of the rings, spiderman and Harry potter ofcourse. i have not watched it yet but Inshallah this Friday. Yeah and I dont need to leave my brain at home or else how would I would enjoy the aesthetics of nature wonder and cinematography.
These are the movies must to bewatched ONLY ON BIG SCREEN right?

Dear Siddiqui sahib,
I still haven't recovered from the intoxicating impact of Tafa-Londonwallah being interviewed by Bushra Ansari on GEO. Yes, even sane folks sometimes watch TV to see what the insane are upto!
Very personal: what's your escape velocity?
Regards.
PS: CHOWK staff do understand German better! Try it...
And stay away from those 'other' mind-altering liquids or solids please...

Ray commented " Without good literature, you can not make good movie". But now a days, with help of technology, you can keep people happy. The appeal will vanish after watching couple of times...

In my college days, I used to like these movies. The poorer alternative was Mumbai Urdoooo/Hindi movie, which is worse than this stuff. I had no better alternative than couple of film festivals in Nandan (G o WB theatre).

I have told the funny part of it. NAZIS were burning Bible, at the same time Gestapo is chasing the fictitious Holy Grail!!!!!
If you have watched these movies, at a glance you will like it. The constant flow, will keep you engrossed in such a manner that, you wil not look for the details. You watch at your home using DVD player, you will notice couple of discripancies.
As a Bong, I have watched Satyajit Ray movies and read his short stories. The way he keeps track of details, it will be very difficult to find any fault.

That is interesting information about the ban on the Temple of Doom - I was unaware of it.
Anything Spielberg showed against the Nazis is okay in my book - because those were bad people! However, in the Temple of Doom, Spielberg's lack of sensitivity in portraying his rather astounding script as a legitimate story involving the Hindu religion was totally unwarranted, IMHO. Why did he do that? The only explanation I can think of is that back then (early 1980's) the Indians were toeing the Arab line (thank you, Congresswallahs!) more faithfully than a dog keeps sniffing the bootmarks of his master and Spielberg may have taken umbrage. My point is that now-a-days, NOBODY would make a movie with a plot like the one Spielberg made back then and expect to get away without severe criticism. There is a lot more awareness now-a-days of when a director is (mis)using the cover of creativity to malign a whole people!

Re: # 9 Siddiqui sahib,
"Something around here is fishy"
What took you so long to find THIS out?
"The Title of this Review/article again should be: Indiana Jones, Iron Man and a Touch of Narnia"
Point noted.
See life straight in the eyes, don't watch too many movies, and give up writing about them completely.
CHOWK is trying to tell you something here....
Regards.

Ras sahib, as you are aware, chowk strictly adheres to a policy of ensuring a piece's originality and not destroying that pristine attribute by correcting typos, grammar, etc.

of CHOWK are now bouncing back too.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is still barred from screening in India ( CBFC India has not certified the film). Even after reading the script, GOI (Congress period) have not allowed Spielberg to shoot the film on Indian soil. Anyhow, you should treat these movies as entertainment not its historical/factual correctness. Spielberg is no Jean Renoir, Akira Kurosawa, Federico Fellini or Satyajit Ray, who will look for quality and perfectness of a creation.
Other movies (Raiders of the lost Ark and Last Crusade) are prejudiced against Nazis. The funny part was, NAZIs do not like Jesus but they were after fictitious Holy Grail!!!
You have to watch his movies without engaging hind brain.
