I guess Brzezinski isn't really a liberal interventionist. I don't know how to describe him though -- lunatic?

who cares. If you read about the people advising Obama on foreign policy, they're all warmongering liberal interventionists like Albright and Brzezinski and now Biden too. It really makes no difference who wins the election.

Re: # 1 Lead

What brand of crystal ball do you gaze into?

Don't forget that no mattter how elaborate these take-overs of entire countries look, God brings to naught all evil.

Thinking of an Obama presidency, what ‘change’ may we really see?
Do we really need to be concerned about this?
If elected to office he will preside over USA not the entire world.
It is normally expected that anyone taking the leading position of a nation would be sincere and loyal to their cause and "national interest", it should be left to those nations to find and chose the one who is best for their nation, rather than for "us" sub-continentals to worry as to who will bend over to accommodate us.
It is also time for the people of Pakistan to use their wisdom and knowledge to find those who are sincere, loyal and honest to the cause of Paksitanis to place them as their first line leaders. Its important that we stop eyeing others for possible connections and monetary contributions, as long as we dont change our mentality and continue to seek as to who will be good for us, while we are not good to ourselves there is no way that we will ever get out of this quagmire where the systems of our govt and country will run according to the wishes of those who contribute to our welfare.
Every individual will need to work hard towards gaining the goals of Pakistan and "will have to forget about seeking avenues to acquire khairat from other so called supreme powers".
Take pride in what Allah has blessed us with and treasure those blessings with an open heart and mind sharing it with others in the nation and if there is some available that exceeds our needs have a big heart and pass it along to others on this earth.

I do not know what purpose this ezine serves. It seems it nurtures demagogues and darbari ga..du. They do not have future in Inida because the common man will not succumb to their chicanery. Whenver I visit once in a two months I see so much change, mostly +ve. There is Americanization but I see people who were imitating American accent two years back are now searching for their roots. With better telecomuting facilities and wealth generation people will start moving to villages. There will be more home schooling and community schooling of kids. India as a culture can lead the world in environmentally benign way of living.

Right now it has to win the two wars imposed on it. First is physical one by islamists across the border and wahabi miscreants within the border. India needs to localize/dhammify Arabic Islam. The second war is cultural war unleashed by western elite and their media. India needs to achieve economic independence and then media independence.

We need to be careful with media folks among us who encourage divisive forces spreading chaos.

How many jobs AroonDhoti created? How many schools and hospitals did she start? How many temple, masjid and church neighborhood cleaning campaign did she start?

Anna Hazares and Baba Amtes of India need to be the people who can be the spoke persons for the real/poor India not these brown outside white inside coconuts.

Masadiji and Tahmedji,

This Chowk does not seem to be a crossing in the subcontinent. We unnecessary throw western verbiage at each other without leading to understanding of each others pov. We talk about what Obama or Osama said. Many Indians will be helped immenselyif we understand foundation of Shantic economy and the core spiritual thought.

Would you please translate what Zaid is saying in simple English in episode 10 onwards:

This will be helpful in dhammifying Shanti for peace and prosperity of India.

Army apologist Leadenwinter writes "The end objective is control over Iran's oil which shall become exceedingly valuable as the peak-oil issue comes to a head. "

The Iraq war wasn't about oil and neither will the Iran war be about oil. The US war machine that seeks "world wars" has not got country specific objectives in mind when it attacks countries. This ignoramus is lost in the past wars of Kings in the middle ages where wars were means to an end and not an end by themselves. Obama is a nobody using his rhetoric to construct an entire cosmology of US foreign policy desires is ignorance befitting a graduate of the PMA (Pakistan Military Academy). The other things that he is trying to magically attribute to his own scholarship you can read in articles going back to more than a year. Pakistan does not have to be conquered, it was conquered when the US dominated the Pakistan Army. That army is messing up in keeping affairs on behalf of the Americans in check, those pesky "civilians" are fighting the people's good fight for whatever reason and new movements have sprung up, it is for this reason and to escalate the constructed terrorism problem that the Americans might intervene on the Western front in Pakistan.

In a racialized society, you don't need specific ends to practice racism, racism and racial definitions of the world are ends by themselves. Similarly in a militarized world system generated by the Americans you do not need specific ends, like capture of oil, for there to be war. Such oil based war conclusions are quite simplistic, befitting plagirists and army apologists like the author of #1

Have a nice day,
TNI Masadi

The invasion of Pakistan shall for all intents and purposes be part and parcel of the "tougher diplomacy, sanctions and global isolation" Obama promises for Iran. There shall be no shift whatsoever in American foreign policy irrespective of which party wins, as policy decisions (in every rational state and in every case) are contingent exclusively upon economic requirements and objectives (rather than on any political position or party as US pro-democracy agitprop would have us believe).

Iran's nuclear programme is of no consequence as is Israel's usual belligerence, which are mere smokescreens, distractions and justifications. The end objective is control over Iran's oil which shall become exceedingly valuable as the peak-oil issue comes to a head.

The invasion of/intervention Pakistan shall allow the US to station troops and bases in Pakistan, to the end of creating a pincer around Iran along with Afghanistan and Iraq which are already occupied and Turkey which is subservient. Pakistan has chosen the course of blind short-termism and has rejected subservience to the US and have rather succumbed to fundamentalists and a civilian administration constituted by known and proven criminals, who together shall assure the instability to justify eventual intervention or invasion by the US.

Iran itself shall be invaded.. if not by the regime which comes to power in November then by a subsequent one. Pakistan's fate shall be precursory to that of Iran.

Enjoy your democracy.
