yaar chacha ..tayrii koii baytii bhaagii hayy pechs sector incharge kay saath? enough with this hate mongoring of mqm..whether u n i like it or not...mqm has the mandate of the people of karachi...now u have evry right to gather the support of al bard n al shams n do another bengladesh in khi but rest assured that the outcome would be the same. fortunately u r a lonely voice of insanity in the power corridors of islamabad. mqm is a political force that ALL mainstream parties in pakistan engage with. u can huff n puff all u want but mqm is here to stay. they are just as bad n corrupt n armed n lethal as ppp or anp or muslim league. if u dont know that then u dont know the politics of pakistan n its about time u shut up

#31 You want me to leave? Dont you appreciate the feedback I am providing? OK - I'll go. But I hope you will reflect a bit on what I wrote - there is more to life than what the street scum in mqm nogo areas taught you.

If we promise to miss you, would you go away uncle tahmed? Btw, since when contradicting central Punjabi’s and Punjab’s POV accounts to sedition/treason?

#29 if i wrote filth of the kind you wrote, i would indeed not be acting my age (or any age for someone other than street trash, for that matter).
#29 Posted by barristerakc on October 28, 2008 10:10:26 am
Tahmed: Few women admit their age; few men act it! Better start acting your age bhai sahab because you are still living in one of your “chaks – times have changed – women are wearing sleeveless in Pakistan, people could own passports and it’s color television – seriously, get out of the Pakistan of 50’s or 60’s. Pakistan’s not your chak nor the mosque you went for aytaqaf – it’s a country in 2008 with load of other problems – your Iftikhar Chaudry is a relic of past but then you live in your own world - try playing RISK instead prorably that’s where you will get close to the word, “idealism kyoon kay “queen papaaa ke hai LOL

#27 and my refusal to engage in "serious" discussions on the pakistan economy with a self-important twit like you as you were asking me a few days ago makes me smart, not half-brained.

#26 nothing sadder than a humorless man trying to pretend he is having fun...
#26 Posted by Alphalpha on October 28, 2008 10:06:00 am
no..it has nothing to do with spite for pakistan. it has to do with making fun of your halfbrained thought process, tahmed.
#25 Posted by tahmed32 on October 28, 2008 10:01:20 am
#23 while it is good of you to rush to support an mqm-ite who is caught by his own remarks, all you prove is that indians whose presence on chowk is defined by their spite for pakistan love the mqm.
#24 Posted by tahmed32 on October 28, 2008 9:51:59 am
hamidm: The babu-box is not the police barriers around islamabad. So, you cant break through it simply by taking a trip down murree road, or even by peeing into Leh Nallah. So, like I said, I fear it is too late in the day for you to break out, so just enjoy the tea and samosas with the secratriat babus.
PS: contrary to mqm propaganda, mqm is not the same as "mohajir", and many fine Pakistanis who happen to be urdu speaking despise mqm's treacherous ways more than anyone else. So please spare mohajirs your attempts at currying favor with the chowk mqmites. also, be sure to stay away from the no-go areas of your beloved mqm, like i said.

Re: # 19
tahmed,
... so what is the reality of pakistan and where do i find it ? .... i have looked everywhere - at nathu's son's restaurant in lalazar's upper bazar, at the dar-us-saroor pan shop in lalkurti chowk, at my uncle's homeopath clinic in bohar bazar in pindi and my mamoon's ghee store on gurdat singh road in quetta .... i have also looked for it while i squat by the roadside taking a leak like a blue blood paki .... i have had tea with muzammil the tailor who sets up shop across the street from my brother's house, and i have also spent a lot of time with his 'uptown' rival bashir the tailor who mrs hamidm discovered many years ago .... personally, i like muzammil because he buys the cloth and stitches my shalwar kurta just the way i like it ........ he tells me that everyone in pakistan is a chore uchaka - some small, some big: take the subedar's general store next door which is run by his son now that the subedar is dead .... the son hoards atta and sugar in his house upstairs and charges double the control price at which he buys it from the utility store a few hundred yards away ... you see, his brother-in-law is a cashier at the utility store ..... this brother-in-law is the maulvi's son from the mosque next door who the subedar (god bless his soul) almost killed for having an affair with his daughter .... but that is another story
.......so i went to the went to see altaf, the subedar's son, to see if all this was true ..... i grew up with altaf playing 'dibbis' on the street ... in those days you could trade trade a gold flake dibbi for five scissors (qainchis) or ten bagla's (king storks) ........ i should have known he was going to grow up to be a crook when he stole my very rare players number 3 dibi ...... anyway, after a thandi botel i casually brought up the subject of hoarding during ramzan and altaf grew very agitated, "hamid mian, i am a poor man and not a colonel in the army like my elder brother .... he just got a plot alloted in defence and i am stuck toiling over this open sewer all day long " .... i wanted to ask him why he didn't get it covered like muzammil next door, but i knew better because muzammil is a ba pass bihari who thinks he is better than this son-of-the soil potohari ........ can you imagine, muzammil even wears a pant and bush shirt like a karachi wala sahib! ... these damn mohajirs, i tell you .... !!!!

#20 "OMG" is what you say when you live inside a box (babu-box in case of hamidm, nogo-box in case of mqm) and get a dose of reality. As for the rest of your post, that is proof that an mqm ghoonda may be a barrister but he still has the two-taka mindset of a street-ghoonda.

#18 hamidm: actually the "Pakistani-babu box" is not the reality of Pakistan..it is just a bubble. To understand why Chaudhury has become a folk hero in Pakistan you need to be able to see outside this box.
I cant think of anything more sad than drinking chai and eating samosas with the babus at the islamabad secretariat buildings, home of the Pakistani-babus. Does the place still stink of stale smoke and stale files those babus sit on until someone brings their cousin-brothers along to have the file moved to the next babu?
