I was told that Kalam Azad was also "shunned away" by Pakistan Steel Mill when he tried to get a job there. He then had to move from UK to India.

Re: # 86; majumdar
thank you sir .. I am sure those 'mutids' would be very happy to hear that
dawa behen ... what's your take on Dr Abdus Salam trying his hardest to serve his country ... perhaps the same way as Sabieh ... but constantly being shunned away ... do you have a theory on that
(and before anyone gets ideas, like viewer sahib, I am a sunni/hanafi too and NOT ahmedi)

Definitely I agree.
However, being treated as a 3rd class citizen in one's home country is what hurts.

what makes those people gather at LUMS. Sabieh was working in Oxford, Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley Lab, can easily get 60K $ per annum. But he was riding his Honda 70 and going to different top Pakistan engineering/science institutions to to let pstudents know whats happeneings in field of quantum Computation and Nanotechnology at Oxford and Berkeley.
He was doing it for his country but some people have personal priorities, luxuries first. Difference is much

I am sunni muslim. Do the two events I mentioned in #73 that remain in my memory have anything to do with being mirzaee?

Re: # 74 true, not blamming all or pointing in general.Immigrants are contributing a lot in foriegn reserves. But its a joke to say that Pakistan is a hell hole and rest all world is Utopia.Every country , every culture has its own problems , boundaries, limitations, plus and minuses. Above all, Pakistan is our homeland and certainly not any other country fill this place.
