Romair, Indians are mostly territorial people. They just tend to prefer territorial nationalism to religious one, even their terrorists tend to be terriorial terrorists (LTTE. ULFA).

Re: # 146
Eklavya, that comparison is all screwed-up, unfair, and perhaps dishonest! Jewish folks (who, incidentally, are by and large among the smartest folks in the world!) were pushed out of their original homeland two thousand years ago and tried to settle down in several places and make home. However, they encountered racism everywhere and were never allowed to settle down or call those places their home. Jewish folks are one of the most adaptable folks and they are exceptionally well-assimilating type – which is quite the opposite of what our Mussalman bhais, by and large, have had a track record of doing. It is only after the tragedy of the holocaust that they tried to get a country of their own. Now that they have Israel, they are likely to become territorial like anybody else.
So, get it through your "thick" head, there is NO WAY our Jewish bhais could be like our Mussalmaan bhais!

...And I would like to remind you (Eklavya) of what you have yourself said countless times right here on this site!
"There is NOBODY in this world who is like our Mussalmaan bhais! They are unique, without parallel, without precedence, without comparison!"
Virtually a different creation of God Almighty!

Romair:
"...3. state terrorism is ok and ignorable, however, individual terrorism is not (anil)..."
You are mis quoting me. I have opposed Indian Army's actions in Indian Kashmir. My answer was to you specific query, and I had replied if a terrorist wins and comes to power, which is recognized by the world, then he is no longer a terrorist. This is hard reality, Romair you cannot deny this.
This presents a tough choice on who to support and when. If you support LeT or JuD, I cannot say that you are not supporting a terror group. However, if they win, come to power and are recognized by the world. There are enough examples in history to support my point, that they would no longer be terrorists.

Romair and dost_mittar,
Islam is all-encompassing and does not separate politics from religion. So, even when muslims fight for politcal reasons they invoke religious justifications. Hindus, Chritians, Jews and others also fight wars but they keep their religions separate from it. Does it make their wars 'cleaner'?
Does separating religion and politics make people less violent? I don't know.
In the 17th century, Chistians fought wars in the name of religion. Then they learned to separate religion from poltics and fought even bigger wars in the 20th century.

[Does it make their wars 'cleaner'?]
No, but when one loses a war like that, it does not inflame religious fury, downright bigotry, and a permanent state of cerebral inflammation.
Those wars END!

Beej, Islamic wars end too, once Islam wins. :)
Despite the tongue-in-cheek nature of that remark, that is true.

om_prakash #144 your scolding hamidm for copying romair's dot style fits with your getting other stuff wrong as well. meray bhai - hamidm is the original, the real McCoy, the Hollywood. Romair is the copycat, the Bollywood and indeed the Lollywood.

Romair#133&140:
I have called bombers of malegaon Hindu terrorists. And I do call Indian actions in Kashmir and earlier in Punjab and Nagaland partly state terrorism while adding that state terrorism is almost inevitable whenever there is an insurgency against the state with sizable support among the people.
You are wrong again re. Tamil Tigers. The only tamils that are actively supporting them are Sri Lankan diaspora. Yes, if terrorism is based on ethnicity by all means call it by its ethnic name. By the token, when Islam is invoked, one has to call it Islamic terrorism. And I refer you once again to the mild maulana Azad's speech a hundred years ago. It is as clear a case as one could make.

Perfect.... and that is why think in terms of group ego. We can take as many years as we want to understand things properly. A false group ego which keeps God on its side and propagates through such propaganda is much more difficult to evolve or refine and that is why those who fight with religion on their side are more evil than those who do not, doesn't matter who has killed more people. It is not just killing, but killing for what and how long...
All these are repeats... repeated so many times...

"Hindus, Chritians, Jews and others also fight wars but they keep their religions separate from it. Does it make their wars 'cleaner'?"
No, it doesn't make them cleaner. But you give them names like Maoist terrorists, communist terrorists, Tamil terrorists, Naxalite terrorists, just as you give the name Islamic terrorism to those who invoke the Quran and the Prophet as their motivation.

in a sense they are cleaner because they kind of end that ego.... while religious ones keep on going till religious ego remains.... which is much longer time than for a materialistic ego....

Ajmal’s village sealed: Sharif
Nirupama Subramanian
“Pakistan at this time is presenting a picture of a failed state
ISLAMABAD: In a potential embarrassment to the Zardari government, the former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, has revealed that Pakistani authorities have sealed a village in Pakistan’s Punjab province to which journalists traced the origins of Ajmal Amir ‘Kasab’, the lone surviving gunman in the Mumbai attacks, and are preventing the media from meeting his family.
The disclosure is bound to prompt questions in India and the international community if the Pakistan government was engaged in a “clean-up of evidence after investigations by two Pakistani media outlets — Dawn newspaper and Geo Television — and T he Observer established that Ajmal belonged to Faridkot village in Okara district of Punjab.
President Asif Ali Zardari had said media exposes were not enough to prove the gunman’s links to Pakistan, and that India had to provide “real evidence.
“It has been said that this Ajmal ‘Kasab’ belongs to Faridkot village. I have personally checked that the village and its surrounding areas have been cordoned off. His parents are not being allowed to meet anyone, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader said in an interview to Geo Television on Thursday.
“Why, and for what has this been done? If he is not involved [in the Mumbai attacks], then he is not involved. People should be allowed to meet everyone in the village, Mr. Sharif said.
“The media should be allowed to meet his parents, and let them say they have not seen him for two or three years, he said, adding that “all this points to the fact that we too need to set our own house in order.
The former premier said Pakistan “at this time, is presenting a picture of a failed state.
Later, Mr. Sharif’s party clarified that the former premier’s remarks could not be construed as his acceptance that Ajmal was a Pakistani.
Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court has admitted a petition by a PPP activist against Geo TV for reporting Ajmal’s links to Faridkot. The petitioner said the report had “damaged Pakistan’s image in the world.
PTI reports:
The Pakistan government said it was “unfortunate that Mr. Sharif chose a “sensitive time to launch an attack against it.
In New Delhi, Union Minister Kapil Sibal welcomed Mr. Sharif’s statement.

The day I see Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie running around lip-syncing on the screen, I'd admit Bollywood and Hollywood share something.
