bsm #51 thank you my friend. it is good to see someone on chowk who is willing to stand up for the people of Pakistan, rather than for rogues posing as national saviors or hiding behind the mask of Islam or support other lawless elements in Pakistan that have brought so much misery to so many in Pakistan.

Meira: Paracha starts his article with ". It is a collection of various radical groups propagating religious tolerance through the killing of heretics and the restoration of an independent judiciary through the impeachment of assorted Presidents "
This ridicule of calls by speakers on Pakistan TV studios to hold musharraf accountable for his multiple crimes against Pakistan - starting with the sabotage of peace talks between two elected prime ministers with his kargill attack, continuing with his trampling over the Pakistan constitution, "disappearing" of thousands of poor souls, a joke?? You think the rule of law is a joke? Ask this scoundrel Paracha to go tell the sons of Pakistanis who have been "disappeared" that all this was a joke, and see what they do to him!!
You say time will tell. What will time tell? That Pakistanis are incapable of ruling themselves and need a semi-literate general to lord it over them?? You think the lives of patriotic Pakistanis fighting for freedom from Musharraf on May 14 dont matter?

#50 Actually I have just arrived from outer space. Its where I usually live, not understanding at all, what goes on around here. Enemies of the "spirit" of Karachi, [this is artistic/creative/free the life - the real life - is always so] are my enemies as well. Are you suggesting NFP is part of the killings in our city? Are you serious? What next.
Though as far as I can tell, I haven't seen any fraudulent activities in his work -- his 'statement' to the world, does not seem to be 'kill all spirit' (that's what blind killers in karachi, or anywhere else, would stand for)
I would love to 'blindly' accept what you are saying -- but it seems to me, its just your opinion. I always come to my own conclusions --even if it takes years. Abhee tak, ye jo Taliban kee kum-aql qaum kei liyei likh rahai hain, kaafi relevant hai, kaafi acha hai, aur kaafi mayenei deita hai...
zindagee kei buhut sei logon ko -- he's teaching us how to LAUGH about it, that's something. We are always so angry these days. Abhee jitnei bhee articles parhei meinei Nadeem bhai ke, they were all about social aspects, media reviews, taliban kei khilaaf --
I can't see what you are talking about -- this might still be because I am from outer space. But time will tell us all, who he is, time always does.

bsm #48 thanks. it is time we drew the line on these enemy sympathizers. the people of Pakistan should show the same unity against their internal enemies as they did the past couple of weeks against Indian attempts at being the local heavy.

#46 "god alone knows what all that is about"
you know quite well what i am talking about.
unless you just arrived from outer space and never heard of mqm attacking peaceful demonstrators who came to welcome the chief justice to karachi on may 14. and never heard of the taliban and other mullah thugs trying to carve out a piece of pakistan, attacking our people relentlessly.

Tamhed Qibla,
I agree with you on MQMers and this Paracha character. Absolutely.

*there is a way for creative/artistic people, that's what I meant.

"Internal enemies and traitors" should be hanged. Again, I have no affliction with political stands, and god alone knows what all that is about.
However, in the world of Journalism, NFP's work is startling and innovative -- he's shown that it IS possible after all, to bring the creative side of life to the forefront -- His writing is not 'ordinary' -- it does not happen everyday.
In fact, after years I'm thinking of Journalism again, and perhaps its not afterall just about fashion worlds, nor just plain reports -- it IS possible to find a way through this world, if you want to. His life is a success.

the only difference between enemies of Pakistan like the jehadis and the parachas is that the former have now come out openly against Pakistan. The latter came out openly on May 14 and then went back to playing "cynic".

Skeptical #40 Well said. It is time Pakistanis drew the line on those who opposed the democracy movement (which is what it was, a true folk revolution with people in the hundreds of thousands lining up to support the chief justice wherever he showed up - not just the "lawyers movement" as hypocrites like Paracha paint it to be).
If it is to stabilize and prosper, Pakistan must fight its internal enemies and traitors - the thugs posing as "islamic jehadis" and the ethnic mqm-lover thugs posing as cynics like Paracha.

NFP
I was just kidding around, and you know it. Your work of course is relevant, and of integral value -- I have often discarded poem after poem, yet preserved the struggle, for the breakthrough one, marks my time for me. So you write articles in newspapers, your 'work' -- and this non-relation is a must, for paper is like that. All paper, inevitably is.
You have a way with humor, and probably the social situation is well-crafted for you -- and you know what you're doing.
I was just playing truant - for no reason whatsoever. Time to leave I think, as I no longer know where this is going.
All the best to you, don't let them get to you!
