Mr. Zeeshan Ahmed, 26 years old, have on record more than 24 years of education and more than 6 years of professional experience of working within different multinational organizations in the field of Computer Science with emphasis on software engineering of database, human computer interaction, distributed, MES / ERP and interactive complex systems, furthermore also have more than three years experience of teaching as lecturer and supervising research thesis to graduate and undergraduate students in different institutes and universities.

According to my interests, educational back ground and profession, I prefer working in Software Engineering (SE) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) domains, especially in Information engineering & Processing, Natural & Machine Language Processing, Product Life Cycle Management, Product Line Architectures, Measurement Analysis, Machine Learning, Multi Agent System (MAS), Intelligent Machine Interface Design, Semantic Modelling and Knowledge engineering.

Moreover I am the author of more than 70 International research publications as solo & first author, winner of more than 40 distinctions/awards/prizes and participant in more than 100 International research events.

rural areas, where the population density is very low, solar power is THE best....no transmission loss...
Suzlon had estimated that, India can produce 45GWE, if it harness wind power in coastal areas alone.....I firmly believe, Pakistan will be carrying similar potential... unlike bay of bengal, arabian sea is not much turbulent and you can utilize coastal regions...In my native place, we used to experience low voltage problem ( always bellow 170/180 volt...every house used to install private transformers...then they installed 3 windmills to supplement normal power grid...now, all these private transformer are gathering dust...)
two of the closest ally of Pakistan, US and China are expanding their wind power generation very rapidly...Pakistan can take something from them....

Agreed.Unfortunately no serious effort has been made so far to utilize the enormous potential available in the form of coal. With energy prices going up, threshold doesn't remain an issue when it comes to cost effectiveness ( of coal ).

Furthermore, if I am not wrong residential sector consumes some 34% of the total gas consumption of the country. A few initiatives ( at very basic level) have been taken whereby solar water heaters have been introduced in the household segment.

You guys claim that Thar ( Paki part) is full of coal...you should utilize that (though it is not clean one)...
throughput from wind and solar power can not be maintained a constant level as it depends upon weather..
solar power is best suited for rural households...
wind power is best for backup purposes...

solar cells are costly (specialy silicon one)...may be next generation of metal oxide semicoductors will be more efficient (more than 10%)....

Pakistan confronts serious and ever growing demand supply gap in terms of its energy needs. According to the Energy Year Book FY2007, we are heavily relying on gas for fulfillment of our energy needs. Share of gas in the overall pie is 48.5% followed by oil i.e 30%.

Gas reserves are depleting and the situation is threatening.

We have got 7th biggest coal reserves in the world in Pakistan (3rd according to some sources ) but the enormous resource lies unutilized. Sulphur content is high but no serious effort has been made to benefit from this huge potential resource.

Solar, wind and other renewable energy can only play a marginal role in closing the demand supply gap. Efforts are underway to explore the substantial solar resource that is available.
