Yeah I really do like your writing but just dont agree in principle thats all....I appreciated the story in the context of cultural relativity...Dario and I dont share any cultural affinity...you and I do...atleast I thought so...
I do get a strong feeling that you write fiction....

Hey aghanghro thanks for your comments. I see that you loved the story about Dario but dont agree with this one. I like that! You see I just want to write about my life and like most its not perfect, ideal and fiction! So there will be many things you may like (Dario) and many things you may disagree with (my sexual appetite) but thats what makes us all human! Keep reading!

extremely well written...but its a sad life that you lead...its your life but its still sad...what is even more disappointing is the fact that you are getting plaudits on sharing your sexual escapades...
like it or not...your hedonistic lifestyle will lead the goras to judge all Pakistanis...

Ursturly,
… be a smart ass all you want ...
… pretty soon gitmo would be shut down and your in-laws will move in with you. They are always an insufferable lot, I’ve learnt … next thing, your homicidal tendencies would start to reemerge, this time for non-shariah related reasons …
If anything, you may want to consider a suicide bombing at a family reunion … you have my full support … just tell me where and when and I’ll make sure I don’t park my car within 800 feet.
… but I still think it is not too late for you to get laid … don’t knock it till you try it …

Padash,
A complement, even a superficial one, does it for me … you have me cornered …
How am I supposed to respond? … hmmm …

Urstruly you're not "good" even though you think you are, neither are you a Muslim, given by your understanding of events, you don't have a clue about anything but want to be the a$$ wipe of those you rant again, just like the rest of your mullah thug buddies are... OK, I'll be blunt ...
... it is a wet dream of us desis: to find a pretty and uninhibited woman, convert her into a faithful muslaima, and marry her for a lifetime of awesome blowjobs … to be delivered immediately after each isha prayers … once she has tucked in the kids, done the dishes, and fed the annoying in-laws. We lovingly call it “taqwa …
This is the essence of that movie, pakeezah … another useless production for twisted minds. Ever wondered why it remains the all time best seller ? Men have entirely different reasons for liking this move than women … and deep down we know why …
Ursturly mian, you are extremely close to making it. Word has it she has accepted. What next??? ... I could use some biryani, you know ...
And ... I ... am ... outta ... here ...
Enjoy the weekend, folks ...

what kind of morons write these pieces of nonsense, almost as moronic as Urstruly's self righteous rant....taking refuge in "genes" and biology of all things, reminds me of homosexuals making the same arguments of "biology as destiny" when need be to justify their sexual preferences and rejecting it when need be....very convenient. Get a brain and some morals....and while you're at it an education

Padash, if it’s not already clear … urstruly is making a proposal to you.
All we need now is a qazi, a signed document, and some anguish (followed by forgiveness) on your part … and the rest of us will get to stuff ourselves with biryani … please say yes …
… besides, it is his only chance of getting close to a woman he is not already related to … which may make him reconsider his boycott against deodrant …

Re: Happy Effing VD
VD is also an abbreviation for Veneral Disease. Please be careful and use protection. Also, should you get VD please do not go around passing it around, the same way as you are breaking hearts.
Are you sober when you have these escapades or do you need to get drunk/drugs to get in right frame of mind ?
It takes a lot of strength to share such experiences, hopefully it will help you in some way.

This could have been construed as a spicy sexual odyssey of a woman had we not known that this theme is all too common in West, where women all too often write elegies after elegies of their lost modesty, worthlessness and failure at relationships. Such jagged little pills appear to be all sugar coated but inside there is nothing but venom, anger and frustration over lost time, desperation and hopelessness.
Over a million year of human evolution had resulted in the relationship between man and woman as bothers, sister, mother, father, daughter, wife, husband, cousin, and friend. Rejecting or relegating these relationships have reverted human back to the age before the caves. Without these relationships, the liaison between man and woman is nothing but that of male and female animals of specie.
This is extremely sad. Yes ‘stuff’ happens to all of us. Yes, we give in to our extreme desire to rebel. But our yearning for meaningful relationships just does not go away. It is so much ingrained in our genes now. Doing the right thing, while sacrificing self, is the only way to have meaningful and sustainable relationships.

Congrats Padash, for admitting to multiple sexual partners - something women in the subcontinent do not admit to normally.
In return for your frank admission, here is some advice, that women in the subcontinent wont teach you : get married to one of the blokes, and ditch him a few years down the line, for alimony. Of course, you may have to shell out some money for dowry, to get a really rich guy, but its worth it. After all, with all the present laws in India, there are many opportunities to blackmail him to shell out a lot of money indeed!
You will find it lucrative to accuse any guy of 'having sex after promising to marry'.
WAKE UP MALES! SPEAK UP!

I really don't understand DinaStrange's strange point. If you're happy that women are speaking out, then why are you judging Padash's lifestyle? Can't she have the freedom to do what she wants, and marry who she wants? I see no contradiction between the two.
In fact, the 'moral policing' that gets meted out to stories like that on Padash's life contribute more to creating an unequal gender balance in South Asia than you'd imagine. Let Padash be, and let her do as she chooses.
For all we know, this could all just be fiction. Albeit entertaining. And perhaps Padash is having the last laugh.

Girl you sure can write and it was a nice read but I can never approve of your way of life. I'd call wrong a wrong though at the end of the day it's your own life and we are the inhabitants of a free world.
I didn't like one thing though. You sleep around with white man then why don't you have guts to marry a white man even if your parents are against it. Because I am sure they'd never like you sleeping around like that as well but you do. Think about it! Somewhere I smell hypocrisy in this attitude.
Technically speaking this piece was much better than Pen-Pals.
Have a nice day!

Dear missdinastrange!
You should know that dating a man does not imply that he would marry you in near future. And that is what casual dating is for..why the hell people become senti-emotional cry babies after being ditched.
"f u are paki, does it mean that u knowledge should be JUST LIMITED to pakistan. What kind of moron are u then? U live in a world, full of different nationalities, cultures and people, u gotta know them, right.
This kind of ignorance and arrogance AMAZES me."
oh baby chill too much anger....

There's no need to carry on like that about morons and idiots. You appear to have more than a passing acquaintace with Pakistani culture. Did you live there or marry or date a Pakistani or something?
#25 Posted by DinaStrange on March 12, 2009 8:33:14 am
btw, i am leaving this entry. The story was okay, the writing was good and the point of this story is unanswered. Padash seems a nice girl but very confused, so i wish her luck. The fact that a muslim/paki girl can speak openly about with how many men she sleeps around is a good sign that women now have the guts to speak openly about what men had been doing for centuries, yet when women tried to do the same, they were labeled sluts.
padash, i didn't mean to offend u, but i couldn't understand the POINT of u story.
good luck to all.

I liked the article. a free spirit, trashing the conformist boxed-in mantra of gender, love, sex for desi gals. Brilliant!!!
#22 Posted by DinaStrange on March 12, 2009 8:30:40 am
Padash, why do u care what's chechen. That wasn't the point of my entry. The point i was asking is what do u want. Perpetrate the unending cycle of meaningless relationships resulting in broken hearts. Is u goal sexual experience before u end up paki man, basically what are u doing, woman. I was trying to find out what's the point of u sexual escalades. Search for love, marriage or just fuck.
Nb,

Padash, honey WHO did me wrong?
Why are you a bunch of assuming morons. Don't u see the logic in what i said.
You (padash) go around and as you said (fuck) whoever u meet knowing that there is not a chance to marry them. Okay that's FINE. I am not a judge of u morals but what's ENTERTAINING in getting FUCKED by a different man every time.
I assume u are pass 20 years old and i am not getting u point. U looking for love, for relationship, for marriage, what's the point of THOSE relationships?
And everybody here is cheering u up, yet if u were in pakistan and did something like that in open everybody would call you a whore. What are those double standards?

you people come to America and call yourself americanized when in reality you are not and that would be fine, but WHY to pretend to be an american when inside you are still pakistani.
i am chechen and proud to be one but i don't go around sleeping with men, knowing that i will end up marrying a chechen guy. i am honest in whatever relationships i have and NOBODY, i repeat NOBODY who was involved with me ever had a broken heart.
Now if u come here to experiment with u lust/sex or whatever else desires that are prohibited back in pakistan with a thought that eventually you will revert to whatever cultural conditions u had back home than DO NOT CLAIM to be nothing but PAKISTANIS.
Again, this kind of hypocritical confusion leaves bad reputation, broken hearts and a bitter taste of betrayal in the hearts and minds of people who take u seriously.
Grow up.

hey u started ultimatetruth...
so u like to pop out kids with u own kind and yet fuck anybody else...
is this a new sort of racism?
there is another thing, how and why did u assume that i fucked pakistani men? is this u imagination or again we are getting personal here...
i stated in my previous message that i had girlfriends who dated pakistani men who always ended up marrying a girl from pakistan, thus breaking the hearts of my american girlfriends and screwing lives of their paki wives (is this right? if u say yes, u are a bigger idiot than i originally thought)
and again, there are so much assumptions in u message that it blows my mind...
so here u go, u are a moron and an idiot and u suggestion to paki men and women to fuck everybody else but pop up kids only with of their culture is moronic, stupid and racist...
and yes, i am AGAINST this paki girl fucking ppl left and right, breaking their hearts if she does so dishonestly without telling them that she has no serious intentions...
because of fuckers like that this broken heart cycle never stops and ppl become hurt, cynical and mistrustful.

Miss dinastrange you should, stop generalizing people. Love is a different concept for every one. Yes i find lust more intriguing then love. And love more fulfilling then lust. Love for lust or lust for love?
And stop dating pakistani men. Date your own kind for we like to pop kids out with our kind.
And if you date stop expecting that he will get a ring and make you happy.
Excellent work Padash.
Don't listen to moronic mullah diatribe.
Chowk needs more like you.

Sometimes i think is life actually so boring nowadays that the only exciting thing we can share is how many night stands we had and how entertaining they were. Isn't it a bit pathetic?
#12 Posted by DinaStrange on March 12, 2009 5:29:53 am
You know, i disagree with you. We can just all can go around and fuck people left and right and then talk about broken hearts. You do not have an intention of a serious relationship, you just want to sleep and move on. So then why are u talking about broken hearts. If the intention is to get laid, then it's fine u just sleep with people but then again don't meantion hearts.
And please don't put Andy Warhol, generally i am tired of ppl using talented people's words to justify their own fuck ups. Also, i am not sure how broken hearts make us stronger. They make us BITTER and more cynical but not stronger. Again, i am not judging you and i didn't call you a whore, i had my share of those nights but looking for love like that is a bit unrealistic, don't u think?

DinaStrange: You are right. whore, slut, heartbreaker, stud, player. Its all just the same isnt it. If I am a whore, I sure am an overqualified yet underpaid whore. Anyway, my columns are all about honesty so yes I dont live a perfect life. I just share it. By no means do i preface what i write by saying its right or its wrong. as far as im concerned, im just writing about what i do. If Paki guys can do it and they are wrong, im just a Paki girl doing the same thing and maybe im wrong too. but hey...we cant help but break hearts or prevent our own from being broken. Its just the way it works baby. As Andy Warhol once said "love with your eyes closed". I say "God damn I wish I could keep mine open but I cant." One thing we all have in common with each other no matter what race, nationality, gender, income...is a broken heart. Think of it as a rite of passage that makes us stronger. Kisses.

You sound like a whore. Don't take an offense since what you are doing men do all the time but i guess for a Muslim girl or Pakistani girl, you sound like a very lonely and unhappy whorish girl.
There is another thing that confuses me. If you have no intention of marrying a white man, why do u keep on dating them. And this is why it bothers me. I met lots of paki guys who go around and basically fuck white girls but then end up marrying a paki girl. But you guys break other ppl's hearts and its irresponsible, some of my best girl friends got heart broken that way.
Anyway, wish u happiness.

Danijani: You rock!!! =)
nb: That is so sweet of you to think my writing is worthy of a book. Unfortunately I have NO idea about writing or publishing but if it ever happens someday. You will get royalties for the book's sales.
Aaminah: Bug Hugz! My writing is just that writing. I dont justify or deplore any of my actions. They are just that. actions.
Rakeshmani: Thanks so much. and you're CUTE too =)
ext-a-see: Love your name btw. Very nice of you to share the kind words. I have never even thought of myself as writer let alone a good one so your compliments mean a lot to me.
The random guy who emailed me and said "I love Revolters": Thanks cutie. Im totally getting a shirt made that says "I is a revolter".
The guy who emailed and asked meet me for a date: Thats very sweet of you but I dont think I can do that. I want to keep Padash's identity private but who knows maybe we have already sat next to each other on the subway or danced together at a club. Just asked for that pretty girls number next time. If it isnt me, it may be a soulmate. ;)
Keep the feedback and the compliments coming over email or my facebook. padashp@yahoo.com

an extremely extremely well written piece... I agree with all the others.. you have great skills as a writer.. I mean this is a short story by itself..
Sunset and evening star
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea
-Tennyson.

Padash - just wanted to say that I really enjoy reading your work. Do keep writing.
And I agree with NB, perhaps there is a book lurking somewhere in you. Though you might start with short stories even. Far less interesting stories from Pakistani women have been packaged into novels.
All the best.

Padash, have you seriously considered collecting and editing your articles? I can see a book. I mean it.
