[Re: # 235: " the ranks of islam will very soon be empty, as people leave your cult in droves."
Keep on dreaming your sordid dream!..]
madrassaAlumnus,
As I said before, in order to have a chance at willing ANY logical arguments, Islamists like yourselves argue against questions raised by yourselves, and pretend they are questions raised by us.
I had said in my post that IF INTIMIDATION BY MURDER AND VIOLENCE IS STOPPED, ONLY THEN people will be leaving Islam in droves.
Are you employing the reading skills they taught you at your madrassa, and reading things backwards again?

Re: # 235: " the ranks of islam will very soon be empty, as people leave your cult in droves."
Keep on dreaming your sordid dream! In spite of a concerted campaign against Islam and Muslims by you and your dishonest friends in the West, Islam continues to be among the fastest growing religions in the West and the world at large.
According to Progressive Policy Institute, Islam is the faith of 21 percent of the world's population, or 1.5 billion people. The ummah is divided about evenly among Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and maritime Southeast Asia, with a large European population as well.
According to a report in Times of London, Muhammad is now second only to Jack as the most popular name for baby boys in Britain and is likely to rise to No 1 by next year, a study by The Times has found. The name, if all 14 different spellings are included, was shared by 5,991 newborn boys last year, beating Thomas into third place, followed by Joshua and Oliver.

[As we all expound breathlessly about aid to Pakistan, Taliban, Swat etc etc, India has received over $100 billion in foreign aid since the early 1950s and continues to receive billions more. But here's a video link for all the chest-thumping, values-claiming, BJP-loving Indian bigots infesting Chowk: http://www.mercurynewsphoto.com/2008/leftbehind/]
madrassaAlumnus,
You have failed to explain why India's poverty is of any relevance to this discussion. But Islamists are known for their inability to reciprocate with logic.

[Ajeya Sahib,
Billi ko khwaab men cheechRay nazar aatey hen.
Being of Hindu descent and no longer intimidated by Mughal armies and having lived in two secular countries for a long time and being totally disgusted by the Tally Ban and Al Kayda becoming the spokesmonsters for Islam, I have managed to stay Muslim faithfully. Are you suggesting that I should be looking for the droves who might trample my patient posture? ]
I'm saying that you might be one of the few with the criminal disposition that supports and enables intimidation by murder and violence to silence critics in Islam.

{"Maybe you didn't mean it, maybe you were drunk, but you did. So don't go pointing fingers at other people."}
I don't drink and I know what I mean and when I mean it. Right now, I am convinced that you are trying to back out of a comprimisingly apparent posture of having been caught lying through your teeth. No harm done, your reputation was already way ahead of your hypocrisy.

Salim, if I were lying, you should be happy that I'd learnt from you. As it stands, I'm not!

This is the kind of persistent and deep poverty that Indian PM Manmohan Singh acknowledges as "India's shame".
Ironically, there are some parallels between the violent Maoists movement in India and the Taliban militants in Pakistan, in spite of their diametrically opposed ideologies. Maoists say they are fighting for the rights of neglected tribal people and landless farmers, as are the Taliban in FATA and NWFP. Though their tactics vary, both movements have killed dozens of people, including security personnel, in the last few weeks. Both movements control wide swathes of territory in their respective countries. Both continue to challenge the writ of central or provincial authorities.
A recent issue of San Jose Mercury News has a pictorial about grinding poverty in India done by John Boudreau and Dai Sugano. This heartbreaking pictorial illustrates the extent of the problem that India faces, a problem that could potentially be very destabilizing and put the entire society at the risk of widespread chaos and violence.

Clarification on 235:
[A Hindu or Christian or Buddhist or Jain can publicly renounce his religion, and live peacefully with his neighbors. A Muslim will not live very long in his neighborhood, or will eventually be murdered. Take this feature of islam away, and see how people RUN from your cult. In droves.]
I meant "A Muslim apostate will not live very long in his neighborhood, or will eventually be murdered."

For a recently-injected muttarwa, you sure haven't learned anything about the totem pole. Khamkhwa men pareshann na ho, tumhari khusoosiat men tabdeeli laazim he.

Instead of finding fault with Hinduism (which does not affect you anyway), you'd better try to address that aspect of Islam that seeks to silence ANY criticism or apostasy with murder and violence. This is a feature of Islam that has persisted through the ages. Suppression of dissent is the hallmark of all repressive regimes - beginning from Nazism to Communism to Stalinism to Fascism.
Once you do that, you would win the right to join the other religions of the world on a platform where we can talk about other things.
Of course, if you take away violence and intimidation where people can talk freely, the ranks of islam will very soon be empty, as people leave your cult in droves.
