Wow...that was conspiracy theory brilliance.....so Al Qaeda has collaborated with Punjabi army( with most of the recent Chief of Army Staffs being non punjabi) along with Taliban (mostly non punjabis and a brain child of General Naseer ullah Baber, who once again is a non Punjabi) and together they are promoting USA interests!!!!!!!!!!!
That was brilliant!!!!!!!!!

Now we are at real war against cruel, ignorant thugs and religious fanatics,Pak-Army should push them into the mountains and bomb them, as hard as they will never see it again. Taliban must be fought and hit very strong. There are many kind of bombs that can attack them in their mountains hide-outs,rat holes and decimate them significantly.
Those Taliban "militants" don't earn their living. We don't need killers in this world like the Taliban, so whoever understand the threat is time to be safe and fight back without risking much of our life. They will go.those who wants to fight off this Taliban insurgency, so we can turn the page and make sure that we all are in a new same page and get to constructive behavior. There are so many things to do for this world that is not just killing each other, so those who wants to solve this world problems with violence must be taken away with violence.

This is with reference to the refugees of the Swat situation. We would like to notify our one observation. Amazingly the families migrating from the war areas are women, children and old men and no young male members are coming to the refugee camps. Do these families not have any young male members? This observation compels us to think about their male young members – where they are? Are they involved in war activities? Are these families are actually Taliban / Dehshatgard families? If it is true, then we are actually providing food and shelter to the Taliban families who are disguised in Swat refugees and their male members are engaged in the war? What do you think about this?

Re: # 3 So are you suggesting that 1.3 million internally displaced people should be allowed to die. kindly elaborate. moreover how have you conviently reached thios conclusion of no young males. A few TV shots or what?
I support military action against taliban but military action does not mean complete in humanity to those who live in that area. taliban may be a menace but not every one who had misfortune of being born in swat.

durdanaashraf says..."Amazingly the families migrating from the war areas are women, children and old men and no young male members are coming to the refugee camps. Do these families not have any young male members?"
its amazing what ridiculous and silly conclusions one arrives at in one's ignorance, myopia and bigotry...so how did this wonderful idea suddenly strike you?

i think it is a legitimate concern. the authorities should investigate this matter; however, it is no reason to target and harass the refugees and deny them the humanitarian help.

Drone might be the problem of punjab with their so-called sovereignty, though with begging bowls constantly in their hands, we have no problem with Drones, we have problems with you drones.

there is nothing new in this . swat has seen Ambeyla expedition of 1863 in which the brits suffered maximum casualties in frontier history .launched against hindustani fanatics of syed ahmed shahid( parallel of modern al qaeda/talibs) , malakand expedition of 1890s etc.
the pashtuns have a strong religious bug which if triggered gets very explosive.
traditionally the mughals used pashtuns and the same was done by the pakistani state.
now its going out of control.the time is not far when a pashtun heavy movement may dominate the region.
the pashtun armed with any ideology is formidable.may it be khalqi talib or any damn thing.

Amin sahib,
Re: 10
Hopefully (from an Indian perspective) this Pushtoon movement will be directed against Pakistanis and other Central Asians, not Indians.

the non violent ideas of khudai khidmatgars were against the very essence of pastun psyche however as the ANP became less idealistic it did well.however the opportunism of the khan family was well exposed by mr juma khan sufi a die hard NAP man who was finally disillusioned with the khan family.his book on bacha khan published by vanguard is worth reading.
having said that the tribal pashtuns are the real force of pashtuns.the settled area pashtuns were more punjabised or i should say urbanised.
the pashtuns may dominate a large part of afghanistan and pakistan in next ten years.
one may see :--
1- a pashtun dominance of parts of pakistan.
2-the pashtuns and the baloch and the mqm might be fightimg soon.
traditionally the pashtun expansion areas would be south and east.central asia has a strong russian father.main dangers to pashtun expansion are iranians and the pakistani extablishment.

Amin sahib,
the settled area pashtuns were more punjabised or i should say urbanised.
I guess this is what Zee sahib refers to as verkottey vilayetis.
the pashtuns may dominate a large part of afghanistan and pakistan in next ten years.
And what wud their strategic goals be? To create a greater Pukhtoon nation comprsing Pushtoon parts of Pak and A'stan. Or wud be to get greater share of resources within both Pak and A'stan without necessarily carving out a new state.
central asia has a strong russian father.
Besides the Central Asians are very ferocious fighters themselves and Pushtoons wudnt stand a chance against them on their territory.
traditionally the pashtun expansion areas would be south and east.main dangers to pashtun expansion are iranians and the pakistani extablishment.
Why wud Iranians oppose Pushtoon expansionism as long as it does not intrude any Iranian sphere of influence areas like the Dari speaking and Shiite regions.
What shud India's stance be shud Pushtoon nationalism come to blows against the Pak state?

Yaar GF, it is perfectly possible. The LTTE too used coercion to induct child soldiers into its ranks. Isn't it possible that the Taliban could have allowed family members to get away on condition that their able-bodied men be allowed to stay back to fight the PA?

Most of the conclusions are based on observation and little bit of reasoning...He may not be wrong....
People in this area is utterly dishonest...
NATO supplied ammo to Afghan force is syphoned off to Talibs....

majumder dada...
it will not be very easy for Pakhtoons to spread influence in India...the bordering states like Punjab (Strong Sikh Base), Rajasthan (Strong Rajput,Gujjar base) and Gujrat ( I need not to say, how they dislike muslas) will try to prevent any influence from western front...Only place, they can find support is in Kashmir, which is heavily manned with IA....
