Re: # 8 Hmm, really deep :-)
Let's just say that she obediently accepted all that came her way. So there was no question of her thinking out anything. For example when she got married to an aged man and her expectations from the marital life didn't fulfill. She didn't protest because first, she didn't want a clash and second, she came from a family where she wasn't trained to think freely and have her say yet her mind used to take her back to the days - her cherished secret world - that helped her live through the unfulfilled days of her life.
So in my view such protagonist could haven't much to say or even think for that matter. That's why she hides her tears while she was alone at home.
I hope we aren't having a drunk discussion! :-P

Re: # 7
hmmm ..... lets say what happened on that fateful day, that provided the starting point of the story? It had a momentum na, so what happened when she did not allow herself to think what her mind wanted to think? the rest of the story described what she was not allowing herself to think, but the connection of it all to the setting of that day.... I guess thats the unsaid part for me.

Re: # 6 Your critique is always welcomed but I am just trying to figure what's been left unsaid :-)

It is a touching story ayesha, left me sad. But, there was something missing, a bit of editing? or probably a change in roadmap as the story progressed. But something seemed to have been left unsaid ....
I am not sure if I am able to convey it to you, but the extent to which I like your writings, demands an honest opinion :)

Good effort ayesha. That was touching and highlighted the severe pitfalls of this male centric approach of decision making very effectively.

A simple, straight-forward and sad story! I wonder how often such events take place in real life.
