As for the Pak army in Swat...as pointed out by Khyber...they are not raping and exterminating the populace, but cleaning the area of Indian supported criminals...with the support of the local people...me and Khyber (I presume) both being from the frontier region.

As I told at the outset, events in India do not escape the attention of the media and thus assume prominence. As for Paki army, whatever bulletin they publish is taken as absolute truth. There are even reports that whatever militant deaths announced by them in swat are all doled out figures and not related to the facts. This is the reason why US always seems dissatisfied with their performance.
