Masadi:
"...Only a damn fool would listen to anil and the rest .... throw a few red cents and they wag their tails and become ass wipes for these miserable mafiaesque, feudalesque corporations and the elite that run them...."
Sounds to me that is what you want people to do. What else is common between you and Riaz. He spent most of his professional life innovating new products for larger corporation. You cannot even recycle 7th century to Mills.

First, welcome back, Masadi. It is wrong for Chowk to ban / punish for anything other than your foul mouth. However, reprehensible your thoughts and ridiculous your logic may, no one should ban it, as these need to be heard too.
"...when the people regain control of their consciousness and their world, then the dandas will land on the sorry a$$es of these thugs that run chowk and other such agenda driven drivel promoting sites..."
Its seems you are looking for that danda to be in your hand, which is not. That is all. Khuda na Khasta, if you get that danda in your hand, your censorship, operession and treatment of dissenters like me would be even worse.

Alumni WW is correct, the corporation as the torch bearer of advanced capitalism has absolutely no good whatsoever to offer to humanity, and is responsible for major wars and human misery around the globe. What these capitalism touters don't realize is that they cannot apply the mom and pop store capitalism model to the modern corporation, that has consolidated its power into oligopolistic production that feigns competition while sharing board members among the so called oligopoly which ensures that these thugs that run and own corporations act as a single monopolistic block. Only a damn fool would listen to anil and the rest of the code coolies towards which the corporations throw a few red cents and they wag their tails and become ass wipes for these miserable mafiaesque, feudalesque corporations and the elite that run them....

Mian, Islam has NOTHING to do with science.
It is just a bedoiun code of living.
Absolutely unfit for the modern world in any way.
Except ofcourse you would like to use the power of the djinns to generate electricity and kill the mushriques like me.

Anil Sahib #71,
Thank you for the detailed and very logical explanation of the reasons for Europe's climb and our decline - not so much militarily, but technologically, sociologically, and economically. We Muslims have stopped advancing in these important fields since the 13th century - the days of Ibn-e-Rushd and other brilliant thinkers, physicians, and scientists. Even though Muslims were militarily successful, in fact even more successful than in the past, during the 13th through the 17 th centures (Mamelukes,Safavids, Mughals, and Ottomans), they lost that need to innovate and improve their socieites. I attribute this descent to the heavy militarization that became paramount in the decades following the 200 year Crusades and the devastating Mongol invasions. I think that we are in basic agreement. Thanks.

John Maynard Keynes described Capitalism in the following words: "Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone."
Let's see if Keynes can help save Capitalism from the greedy capitalists yet again from his grave. If he does, it won't be recognizable from what we have seen since the Reagan revolution of 1980s that has lasted for three decades now.

"I don't think you fully appreciate the depth of the problems and the extent of the damage that has been inflicted on the US economy and society in the last year, no do you understand the nature of the deregulated financial products still being sold."
No I don't appreciate it because that's a false statement. Only time will tell, however. I, for one, am investing as much as I can afford because I see this as the opportunity of a lifetime, not some sort of death knell... what a joke.
"I think the effects of this crisis will result in significant loss of power and prestige by the US in the world for a very long time."
Certainly many countries *tried* to take advantage of it to blast capitalism and propose some other loony system. Such rhetoric may work on ignorant people who don't know the difference between laissez faire capitalism (what they claim to be criticizing) and various degrees of socialism (what actually exists), but not on people who investigate the issues for themselves, unless they are already sympathetic (fascists/marxists I'm looking at you).

laddu...you are not a laddu of sweetness but a poisoned pakora of hate...everywhere spewing vitriol of lies, misconceptions and hate as taught to you by your hindutva school books...keep burning in the impotent fires of your hate till the day you ultimately find out that you are totally burnt out.

Thanks for the compliment! As far as democracy is concerned, it is a well-known fact that it is a lousy system and would not be in use anywhere except that it is better than everything else.

Commerce is a part of day-to-day life but everything in life is not about commerce alone! Making money is a talent which has little to do with abilities in other areas of life – it is more an ability to watch the bottom line, IMHO. The evolution of civilizations takes place as per needs – perhaps the reason our Arab friends lag in the Sciences is because they have not had a need to learn the same and have managed well by simply hiring others at rates they can afford to do things for them.

Nobody denies that Islam had a glorious past – but we also have to look at the present where we all live. The big, bad, corporate wolf theory is overblown.
