One has been seeing the coverage the foreign press has given to the IDP camps in Pakistan. Gives the impression that by and large the IDPs have been looked after tolerably well.

Quite a contrast to the camps of IDPs in Sri Lanka which are also covered by the foreign media. Here we see that the displaced Tamils are forced to go through an almost subhuman existence.

Difficult to explain the difference.

Bravo! It gives me hope to see young, educated Pakistanis helping people. After being mutilated by a crooked army, ignorant politicians and over-zealous mullas, the people of Pakistan can look at their educated sons and daughters for help and leadership.

why sanitize them by calling them IDP's? It sounds so robotic, macihne like!

This girl gives very closer account of the real plight of Swat residents.

What Pakistan Army achieved is PR & blackmailing victory over the west while milking the situation to its advantage. They have not really achieved the objective of capturing top guns. Swat is the new Bajaur.

There's no normalisation in Swat as schools are not opened yet.
