I don't understand why commenters on chowk are so negative and bitter. Could it be that we are so insecure with ourselves, we need to find faults with others to make us feel better? While other races are so far ahead, we are wandering in the medieval times with our archaic beliefs and inability to adapt. We are an intelligent race but waste it on bringing others down. Seriously try some positivity. It might do you some good.

This article doesn't make any new points. So the leadership is pathetic, what's new about that.
It is written in a manner that each paragraph appears to be promising in what it may lead to next. However that next never appears, and the article just ends rather lamely.

Each human is born with both good and evil in their heart. Searching for truth is a full time job for philosophers. So leave it to them the question of truth and goodness. One can forgive the unwashed masses for their transgressions but elite born to rule, without performance by any standard, is entirely a different story. It really hurts when one of their heroes bolts the club.

The real question is why?

A very long time ago! Only there for a short time in the very early 80s; sat for A levels privately and went for college to the US early.

I met Mazhar Saleem Akhtar in Lahore a few years ago at my brother's wedding; he seemed to be doing well given his age.

Yes, are you that Maj. Azhar?

Skeptical: he was also my teacher in HSC; he was the housemaster of Kelly house and taught English.

a piece of classic nonsense with no head or tail.pakistan is a british creation, sustained with crumbs thrown by USA and will last as long as its cheap punjabi army continues mercenary soldiering for theor american masters.yes now the americans are very lucky in having an army chief from pindi, the worst of british collaborators district.a classic piece of assorted nonsense no doubt.

Sir, if you are that Major Azhar from Aitchison College, Its wonderful to see you writing here. I was your student in late 1980s
An excellent article Sir
Imran Khan has been a disappointment. I was a great fan of him as a cricketer but in politics he is a strange confused reactionary.
