Madani sahab, it is always a great pleasure to read your writing. It is truly a shame that you only write interacts and not a regular column of your own.

I am not sure lot of Indians have any sense of fairness. I have always maintained if indian parents teach boys and girls to pay respects to elders and not spoil them but whip till they get good manners. This response from Indians on writers is example. My response was polite and just showed my mental infantile disorder getting worse with time. I had humility to state That it was little not easy to follow.
Now one arrogent suggests her not to write, my humble suggestion is if you do not have anything say good just shut , that our polite , matured and cultured way.
Foreign policy is decided at people who have too much information , so its easy for no nothing people to cealy think as they have basics.
Now I feel there was little ( little means big problem . Initially PM and president were firm about mr. A.Kasab that he was just terrorist may be from India but definitely not from Pakistan. That stand was good and solid and even all our awam was sure as hindu+ Jewish + usa axis out to malign and I was convinced as he looked small statured like indian and was not even sufficiently fair. It was correct party line , even PM and FM said there does not exist such person in Pakistan. Even usa stated India should start talk with pakistan and they accepted innocent explanation of FM and PM.
One should be always beware of friends as enemy will take care of themselves. That spy master military man went on tv to get publicity say he is real Pk man in flesh and blood. that was unpredictable. And then all hell broke , even usa could not shield . It was self created problem. National honor and secrecy was broken by same people who are supposed to lead young man to sacrafice themselves so they can have tea in delhi on lal Killa.
Then was all farce. He pleaded not guilty that was not good but terrible crazy defence. Best would have been insanity and that could have some chance. Best defence would have been he could have said he is fan of YLH and use to read ane reread about old ganndhi and jinnah etc. That disturbed his mental stability and he became follower of mahatma and followed violent ways like old man and he is sorry follower of MKGandhi etc. The defence in indefncible is only through Drama and that his devotion to mad mahatma will have work.
But GOP damaged case of Mr. Kasab by admitting about his idendity. So he was handicapped by his own govt and nobody can fault that poor young man when he pleaded guilty as he said now there is noting to fight for when he was abandoned.
Let us hope he does not best death sentence as will prolong for years and so much waste of poor indians money, may be he sent to some education so one day he can go back to Punjab and become good citizen and come back to india with mission of peace. It is said by sages, Saints have past and sinner have future.
Instead f foreign policy we ned human right policy when even criminal can go to places like lahore management , or IIt or JNU etc and reform and come out for ew peace mission.
Good day.

What you term as 'false consciousness' is a response to fear. Appropriate response to fear is investigation and remedy. Tense situation brings out primal response but maturity dictates to keep anxiety suppressed. Children cry of minor pain and adults could take a blow quietly. Between India and Pakistan there is a lack of maturity. There has been considerable support within the population of the two countries to completely obliterate the other. Acceptance of co-existence is gradually improving. The ruling elite of India and Pakistan kept it to 3 1/2 wars in 62 years. India has earned elevation in its international standing by becoming a co-imperialist under USA. Pakistan government could have a fit of envy. By the time the Indian government earns the magnanimity of its elated status, Pakistanis might be through with their tantrum and work on seeking benevolence of the regional power. Under the guidance of world powers we might start accepting each other as real humans. Respect. Peace.

Perhaps your brother could cure you of the habit of writing rather than any particular style of writing. There seemed to be no point to this entire article.
Take this for instance:
When India and Pakistan did not act in the expected manner the interest died down
Pakistani authorities did in fact act exactly as expected. They tried to cover up in the beginning (remember some local police official who 'investigated' and announced there was no person by the given name and in the part of Punjab claimed by Indian investigators ?) and have, since then done no investigations of their own or acted against the perpetrators. Pakistani newspapers and intellectuals have done nothing to pressure their government on this matter and kept up this equal-equal harangue ever since (look up Ms. Sarwar's articles on this topic.)
What was it you expected them to do (or not do) that they haven't ?

Fortunately, I got your point. My brother makes a similar point. He has made it his mission to see that I get cured of this manner of writing soon and save those unfortunate enough to be subjected to it. Godspeed.

Auther needs to make it easy for most people like me who are not students of political science. I am sure there are poits and may be subtle but hard for most to follow. Some synopsis at start and post script is needed to drive the points and make it easy. I reluctantly agree there are points but need to be made i simple language. This subject may not be that difficult ( like in some areas of maths you need to know tensor calculus to follow). When I wanted to be nasty with other profs when their students use to complain ,I use to say subject is not tdifficult but professor is difficult. It is highly possible I am not following or not getting hidden message. good day
