Iranian situation not as bad at home but irani people have been very brutal to themselves.
They slaughtered Abbas Hoyeda the exprimeminister who was jailed by Shah of Iran.Which was exactly same was as QEA ZA bhutto was framed was summarily executed. They have shot him dead and displayed poor man body. There is term called decency was never shown. Forign minister Sadeh go Bazadeh was also killed.
Still Kurds are oppressed by Irani racists and their legitimate demands are not tolerated. In Mahabad ( Capital of Kurdistan ) hundreds of Kurds were executed.
Iranian have paranoia about "arab race" they think them inferior and all "intelluctuals" worry about Arabs of Kuzestan having too many children.
As you mentioned Abadan you know "arfoiranins" from that town are poor and people talk down.Iranians have streak of Racism they think they are white so all pakistanis just nothing in their minds. Recent terror attacks on revolutionary guards ,some thing is wrong why people hate them so much.

They can be crazy and people go with it, Shapur Bhakatier was slaghterd , their revolutionary pm had to run to france. There was Hanging jugde of Iran "Aytullah Ringo" his hobby was to hang people. He even sentenced White horse of Shah to death and he was killed poor horse and for his offense. As you know some things have changed but most has not. As usual there is poor south section of Tehran. Traders control as they did. Its no much difference than our place. Only Iranians have no sense of business , they export over two millon barraels of crude but have no capacity to produce gasoline or high speed disel. They import over half mllion barrels from countries like india which usa wants to stop. It is potentially rich country but is spoiled by their Bazzaris they like trading but no manufacturing, not much processing of balck liquid gild. Potential rich country with educated population but no modern industry. Govt just doing to subsidise petrol in rural areas and keep unrest away.( only excuse huge Abadan Refinery which was beinging built by japanies was demolished in war with Iraq, they both destroyed abadan and Basara) Just like in Pakiatan mostly no tech business give higest returns
You are kind of painting rousy picture of Iran not much different than Pakistan, they are good colored people and very faie one has to admit ( they have some dark people like Arfro iranians specially in Abadan). Unfortunately have too much bad blood with arab race. They always say we are Iranians and muslims and not Arabs and not terrorist. That sums up all recist attitude as Arabs have dark frrican blood.

Thanks for suggesting calm in a period of turmoil. I think Pakistani establishment could use the advice:

"common sense suggests accepting changes peacefully, instead of putting the survival of the country at stake, and not only save the ordinary people from an indeterminate period of anarchy, but also keep its own hold on power, albeit to a reduced degree."
