Thank you for all your comments.

My poem is about emotional compromises and self-deception. The creation by oneself of an acceptable reality or to put it like my Professor, the human desire to see only what one wants to. But in the last line, the poet is unable to lie to herself and finds it difficult to compromise through self-deception. Anyway a poem can have a thousand views and yours is edifying.

I for one, enjoy your poems a lot. Going by the criticisms I get ranging from accusative to rude and very rude, I should have long since packed my notebook!! No one ever says nasty things about yours:-(
