Sheldon,
I read this piece of yours a while back when it had first been published and since then i have waited for somone, anyone to comment on it, so that i would be able to add to the commentary. I felt that with a piece this vast, a piece that covered so many topics with such flawlessness, that I would not be able to capture all of it. All this waiting has made me impatient, so let me be the first to tell you how much i loved this story. My favorite part is when the father follows the son out of town and they meet and talk about love. The father`s laughter about his son comming all the way out to meet a beautiful woman and the simplicity of it all was just lovely. the conversations they have about the father and his illness or his dependence on the place he lives in, his life and how the life of his son is so vastly but then again not so vastly different. i reallllly loved it. On the whole, i thought this was a well written piece and a lovely story about disjointed lives coming together is a gypsy like manner under some stars.
thanks :)
