Hi, Saima. This was real fun to read. And btw, thanks for ``welcoming`` me to Chowk earlier. I wanted to send in a thank-you reply, but had had just enough of that space for a while.
You do a real good job of addressing a serious issue in a light, fun way; I got a few chuckles out of it. Thanks.
You know, my brother just Got Married this past September--gharara, jewelry, murgh musallam, and ``croaky`` music to boot! Actually, we had the ``official`` ceremony at one site, and then, made a surreptitious underground operation of the real party afterwards, at another place (one of my maamoos was good friends with the owner). I wonder how many weddings out there are actually Weddings....

The article was published in tft under the title,``Complete Bride Ban Treaty`. I wish to dedicate it to the original Gulabo, who speaks out for the rights of all the chadar covered and the uncovered Gulabos who remain voiceless, status less and respectless while carrying out the awful daily chore of being women-for-men.

Saima:
Wah wah kiya baat ki hai.
You missed a small detail---- those ill fitting band-wallahs-- and the croaky sounding tunes that sound like Raja ki aaye gi baraat, rangeeli hogi raat..........or....meri behan bani hai dulhania............or meri bhi shaadi karado ...........or ghar main hamari aaye dulhan sakhi...
On a more sober note both the GOPs seem to be in trouble.
regards
