It seems facetious, yet has a very odd and serious appeal to it.
I would be interested in that harnessing process and I wish you had elaborated on the drying up of that ocean. Anyways, have never read you before on chowk. Hope to read you more.

Javed:
Enjoyed it. Some good lines. Welcome.
Will re-read it late night, just before I tuck in the day. Suspect will chuckle some more. Very fertile imagination---avoid water logging and salinity in later life.
regards

Thanks guys, Yes I agree, I shouldve/couldve put more detail in there (im a ``detailed`` person, can you tell? I can`t believe im published in chowk. :-) I`d like to express my extreme, ``happy-go-lucky`` emotions right now, but I`m just so happy, I think I`m going to cry (damn east emotion....) Ive submitted a few other articles for chowk but i havent seen them published yet, ill keep writing. I promise, really I do!

Welkom Herr Javed Memom!
Your article was delightful and a highly enjoyable safari across the landscape of your mind!
Though, I was a bit disapointed that you did not take a detour to my favorite part of id. I am refering to my favorite tribe called the Cynicus who live in a fortified island nation called the Doomistan. I believe that their leader is a wise, but a real roguish fellow called Temporal Insensitivitius!
Hope to see more work from you!

Wonderful Javed! I loved the humorous and creative approach you used to detail your mind :) Now, you must promise that once you are a professional in your chosen field, you will write a similar piece detailing your mind THEN. Notice the contrast between the years (if any :)), and enlighten us bewildered creatures of the female gender on the male mind :)
Hope to read you again in this forum...happy writing!
p.s. No need to feel insecure. You have what sooooooooo many are lacking...a sense of humor! Combined with intelligence, I say you should probably be one of the most confident people you know. After all...if you`re ``good`` at what you do, then why let anyone/any situation intimidate you?

temporal,
itni muhabat say kayoun pukara mujhe ap nay? perhaps im just being self centered here, but im going to think for the time being, that it is me that you invoked with your cry. kya khidmat karoun ap ki?
javaid..a really awesome read. light and refreshing..totally what i needed after this hellish week of work etc. my first piece to chowk never went in either..im thinking of perhaps editing it and sending it in again..you could perhaps do the same..it `is` a pleasure reading your creative mind at work.

This was great. Made me laugh - not easy when you`ve got a stomach virus. My brother is about fifteen; well do I recognize this terrain (though he keeps the hormones mostly well hidden from us all).

Nicely done O Man who wears Hijab!
[for those who do not get this allusion, seek out Hijabman`s home at Chowk (and elsewhere!)].
Glad to see the rave reviews you`re getting on Chowk.
``He has found humor, but has yet to find a circle of friends in which he feels comfortable`` - excellent stuff.
BTW, You missed my replies to your queries at CollegeView [Great photo there].
Cheers,
Umair

You should know that I don`t speak urdu, so I have no idea what you`re saying, just imagine me singing ``tanda tanda panee`` and ``garam garam chai`` over and over :) Thats pretty much the extent of my urdu ability...I`m learning though (personal replies will come soon... as of now it`s 6 am. School Time.

Very nice and creative, Javed. Are you truly just 16? Great writing for any age. Reminds me of Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Rushdie. Javed and the Sea of Testosterone!
