Question for next philosophical discourse:

Why did s/he crush his f-cking head off when ...

He sang a song so lovely

So carefree and so gay,

That slowly all my troubles

Began to slip away.

Was the author a masochist? Was he indian/paksitani and recognize it for what it was -- RAW`s/ISI`s state of the art reconassaince device? Did s/he recognize it as being of the same species that was responsible for the death of his pet cat upon consumption?

Or was he just f-ucking crazy?!?

No, I`m not cynical. But I felt like the bird with the crushed head . . . also, Dear Shandana/Slink, I`ve got kind of used to seeing Kashmir at the interactions on everything . . . laconic maybe, cynical, never . . .

Sort of like that story about a Raja and a Rani. It goes something like this:

Aik Thha Raja Aik Thhi Rani

DonoN Murr Gaey Khatam Kahani

Veerish, this is for you, it`s from the early days of India when people were trying to digest the newly introduced vegetable oil and the official Hindi, of which even Nehru said he didn`t understand it:

Pehlay Ghee Say Sabzi Bunti Thhi

Ab Sabzi Say Ghee Bunta Hay,

Pehlay Aurat Bachchay Junti Thhi

Ab Sara Zamana Junta Hay.

Rehan.

dear vereesh malik,

are you all right? you`re getting kinda cynical, and i hope the man who wants us to work together for peace hasn`t been replaced by the man who throws his hands in the air and says `i give up...you`re all idiots..every one of you.`

i know i`m assuming. bad shandana..baddddd.

Funny as the poem is its no translation from an ancient Urdu poem. I read it nearly a year ago as one of those things that gets forwarded on and on. Remember the whole JATO thing!! BTW there was an excellent article in Wired magazine about the origins of the JATO story.

later

-sac

P.S: scout, you are really getting annoying.

Here is an ancient Kashmiri (Indian) poem for you which talks about the peaceful aspirations of a once-free people now denied by their masters in POK . . .

``pigeon kabootar, udan phly,

look dekho, aasman isky``.

+++

Come on, can we get this discussion to move towards Kashmir please? Does anybody read Outlook and the cover story on India circa 2015, where Pakistan accedes to India?

Come on, come on, come on, tweety bird?

t,

re: #1:

haha... well put - cruel but at least you`re civil about it :)

and if scout is right about the ``unknown`` person`s literary abilities, maybe he/she won`t get the joke...

by the way, here`s an idea: ``Unknown``

love,

lubna

The issue is not about freedom of speech. This website has editors who choose what goes on. So the freedom of speech is already ``selective``.

While I didn`t get offended by the childish poem, I certainly wonder what makes the editors decide what gets published on the site.

Whoever wrote this, please come clean, I`d like to crush your skull against a cyber-window.

Someone mentioned Howard Stern. I hope he drops dead.

t-bhai #11, this one`s for you

I was a smart girl once

God made me that way

Once I was out walking

Tripped and fell on my head

It hurts

To this day

Damn I`m talented
