Shankar:
Thanks for the post. It was an interesting read. And I concur with your views on North Indians being better looking than others. I remember sitting outside with an Sindhi friend in the village a few years back and trying to figure out which country/community each passing by desi belonged too. After about 20 minutes of that useless exercise my friend remarked. ``Lets not do that anymore. Every good looking one is either from Pakistan or North India. It can`t possibly be true!!``. I still wonder....

I really dont think I need any of those, not even the Medicine Man thinks so. Else he would have pronounced his prescription.
I guess the quacks should leave the more serious things to the real doctors, Urstruly :)
Happy Cooking Conspiracy Theories.

Hey there,
Good post #81. Thanks for the appreciation, I am really not that witty or anything. Its just YLHs and Krashids :)
Yes, I would also be interested in knowing you. Can you write to me at kewal23@yahoo.com?
BTW, what you doing, going outside Calcutta, leaving Bengalis alone to deal with both Bhagirathi and Kali at the same time? :)

YLH #48,49,50,54,55,56........ (You are making me do this Math, I hate you :) )
MINORITIES AS A PERCENTAGE OF POPULATION IN PRE-PARTITION PAKISTAN-OF-TODAY
YLH says::
{{{{{
``Had you read Hamza Alavi`s book properly you would also discern that much like myself, he is also talking about the original Pakistan plan which would have all of Punjab and Bengal. These provinces were partitioned in 1947.``
``Do you also forget that Pakistan was also partitioned later on .. Bangladesh I believe has 15 % minority Hindu population.``
``Please atleast consult some books before you check the figures. Had the Punjab and Bengal given to us entirely, we would still have only 32 to 35 % minorities but they werent given to us entirely.``
``Then Bangladesh went its own way .. taking away a chunk of our minorities..... so the present day percentage of minorities is only based on facts.``
``and finally he forgets that Bangladesh went its own seperate way ...``
``That is how Pakistan only has 3% minorities...``
}}}}
A few clarifications:
1. In my post #45, I never took into account Bengal`s (Bangaldesh`s) population, since I was talking about PRESENT DAY Pakistan. So YLH, I didnt forget that Bangladesh is no longer part of Paksitan, cool down. I just referred to Punjab and Sindh (Refer to my post #45).
2. I did mention Indian Punjab, thus demonstrating that I was taking into account the fact that those numbers from 1931 census were for undivided Punjab. YLH somehow overlooked that too.
OK here is data about the 1931 census from Hamza Alavi`s thesis again (refer to post #45 for URL etc).
Census, 1931
TOTAL POPULATION (IN MILLIONS)
U.P Punjab Bengal Sindh
Total: 48.4 28.5 51.0 3.9
Muslims 7.2 14.9 27.8 2.8
Muslims % (14.8%) (52.4%) (54.5%) (72.8%)
Ok so from this data:
1. Pre-Partition Sindh had 28% minority population.
*Pakistan`s current population 144 million
* Sindh accounts for 20% of Pakistan`s current population which is

So now you guys think Sadna and others who counter your view point here are on the pay roll of RAW etc?
YLH alleges all Indians are emailing each other and collaborating with each other, to attack `him`.
So whats coming next, Sirs?
A Hindoo-Jewish conspiracy to undermine the mental peace and balance of Pakistanis on Chowk?
Jay would say `A Nation obsessed with TNT`. I think a more appropriate saying would be `A nation obsessed with conspiracy theories`.
Alas, some people have an exaggerated sense of self importance. Delusions of grandeur? Or megalomania?

You have the nerve ... after what your kind did to me on the other thread... I think you can see for yourself how your brethren started attacking me on that thread when I hadnt gone personal yet (ie till reply 362)
With that said, I really dont care if your kind has any respect for Pakistanis or not ... not like we are talking about humans ... stick to the topic or just leave!

Yasser,
Here is a shabaash for your spirited defence and arguments. But do you really think you can argue with people who are paid by research and analysis folks in Dilli?
Just count the number of interacts by this person with the handle ``sadna``. He/she is working 60 hour/week just at chowk
````````````
very funny ali1. if we extend that theory then your beloved yasser who posted some 100+ messages in another thread is nothing but ISI masquarading as a teenager. he seems to be living in this forum, not just working full time....
and if we extend this argument a little bit, then this entire forum is nothing but the handiwork of Gen. Mushy, who finding it hard to make the Indian Govt talk to him, started this forum to voice out his concerns regarding a host of issues from kashmir to Jinnah to pakistani hindus to indian muslims.......
conspiracy theories... i just love them...
yasser, did i get your age right?
cheers,
WAITING FOR 3NT,
There is a possibility that the minorities might have an option, to join one of the nations. From nation, opinion section of today,
The situation in Sindh and Balochistan is not very satisfactory. The recent celebration of 47th birthday of Altaf Hussain, the MQM chief in London, attended by important leaders both from Sindh and Balochistan was a red signal. This time in his speech, Altaf Hussain used the word ``smaller nations`` rather than smaller provinces or federating units and was supported in his stance by all the PONM leaders. Going a step further, the MQM chief warned that if the prevalent situation was not improved they had no option but to approach the UN with a demand for self-determination.
Do not let a situation like East Timor develop in Pakistan. Such demands made by patriotic leadership in an alien land call for reconciliation and not arrogance. Already a group of opportunists has come out in the open to brand these leaders as traitors without realising that they all are the scions of the families whose sacrifices for Pakistan are a golden chapter of our history. In a situation like this when the gulf between the federating units is widening because of the denial of their rights, a wild goose chase of political leaders and a new version of Ayub Khan`s devolution programme are not going to pacify the emotions of the people. They are losing faith in the state institutions and this loss of faith is the sign of a brewing storm.
///YLH where are you, sieze the moment, the dawn of manifest destiny.
Thinking about it, you may be well be right. The trigger seems to have been `Pakistanis not allowed to exert choice by military governments` :-).
About the visa, well I`ll have to check with head office, let me go crank up all that electronics hidden behind that false wall. But seriously, sorry those guys are such idiots.
Re Smita Patil, it still hurts to think of someone so promising dying so young. Par hum khufiyaa agency chaala rahen hai hain ki lost and found karmic bureau :-)?
Well, if Sadhna is working for RAW, then YLH and Urstruly are surely working for ISI… :)
Sadhna,
If you work for RAW then it would not be too difficult for you to find my favourite Hidden Hindu :)
Also, can you help me get a visa for India? My application got rejected today :(
Dostmitter,
Yeah, that’s the one… I know she is dead. Sadhna will have to find her reincarnation for me.
