For once, I agree with Ali. (Of course now he`s going to tell me that that includes me.)

hmmm if not religion then sex. if not sex then religion.
Well atleast this article(care of ali1) brings about awareness - which is what is really needed !!! I was frankly amazed to read - people taking shy teeny tiny steps in coming to grips with their inadequacies. That is a saying/doing a lot for a country where noone acknowledges its existence much less do anythign about it.
So, instead of poking fun at Indian males who are not that intrinsically diff from their Pak counterparts (that bull about religion/nationality /i am from this side of the border/i am from that side.. doesnt count here) time to face facts - what that article says goes for all of you men out there : )
And as for a bachelors party - why on earth would women want to go to one?? Havent you all heard of bacheloreatte (i know attrocious sp) parties??

Rsaxena,
Your analogy of cars has not only exposed your intellectual primitiveness, but also has revealed your level of maturity. No doubt the comparison might be accurate.... though quite the opposite from what you are inferring... The Economical, and cheap Cavalier is accessible for most people, hence is like Gandhi who every one can relate to.
The Porsche is like the immaculately dressed, and sharp witted Barrister, Mr Jinnah. Being expensive it is not accessible to many people, so is Mr Jinnah, unknown to the illiterate and ignorant public.
Love

``The people who are the most active on this site, have to be bachelors;for no self respecting married man could hope to write so regularly without causing a dent in the so called marital bliss scenario. ``
Maybe they are trying to escape the marital bliss scenario. Don`t know, I`m not in prison (i.e. married).

{Rsaxena wrote,..``Comparing Gandhi to Jinnah is like comparing a Chevy Cavalier with a faulty exhaust to the shiny new Porsche I`ve been eyeing``}
Nice try! I double-checked that one before I hit Submit! (Krashid, in case you are confused, switching the order of ``Gandhi`` and ``Jinnah`` in that sentence does evil things.)

``this isn`t some sort of bachelor party!``
Think again, Scout :).
The people who are the most active on this site, have to be bachelors;for no self respecting married man could hope to write so regularly without causing a dent in the so called marital bliss scenario.
The topic under discussion, is the single topic which tends to bring men of different backgrounds/ethnicities together, for exchnage of such `useful` information as ``timing`` etc.

Ali on Asim Hayat:``Pathetic, but kala kurranta sahib thinks he is of a different (and superior) race because he has exactly 32 genes from Col. Blimp.``
furthermore,.. the jibe,..``So you are racially different from Indians? hah``
Folks,
I am truly sorry, but i am neither aware of this Mr Ghair Karranta, nor his genetic makeup, which Ali1 is so intimately hinting at..
Ali1,
Would it have helped you, had i made a few smilies on my earlier posting to show you, that what i did write was in jest? Maybe not!
Accha kher koeey baat nahin. Hope on second reading of it, you will see the sheer hypocrisy of your posting such informationm, while turning a blind eye towards the sheer impossibility of such a survey ever being done in Pakistan.
Ethnicity and race are often taken to be the same, wrongly too. I meant ethnically differnt not racially.

I could not agree more..nudge ! nudge!.:)

ali1 :
Irving Wallace wrote a book ``The Seven Minutes`` that was published in 1969. ``The Seven Minutes`` is about a legal battle over a fictional book ``The Seven Minutes``, which is about a woman`s thoughts during the seven minutes, that refers to the world average back then. Given the research that even authors of fiction do here, maybe the world average (minus the Indian male) has more than quadrupled in the last thirty years to thirty minutes. Maybe. Yeah, right !
Or maybe making people feel that something is wrong or lacking with themselves or they are in some way inadequate is the best way to drum up business.

HUnHH!?!?!?
Apparently some folks lose the ability to read and infer when they lose that little bit of protective skin. That`s ok--not your fault. Physical trauma at a very young age is known to cause such intellectual disability.

``Why dont you start quoting them? And then I assure you for every 1 of yours, I will quote 20 not 10 different, new sources.``
Tell you what...I`ll devote a day of my next vacation to do this for you. You`ll still be around, won`t you? Or will you have a thrown a tantrum and run-off? btw, Did they ever catch your imposter? (I heard it was shankar.)
In any case, the truth is obvious. Who remembers Jinnah? You, your countrymen, and other products of the failed TNT (and it did fail when millions of Indian Muslims rejected it). No one else. Everything he stood for died with him. The ideals that the Gandhis and Martin Luther Kings stood espoused will live on forever...they made an orginal and timeless contribution to human thought. Comparing Jinnah to Gandhi is like comparing a Chevy Cavalier with a faulty exhaust to the shiny new Porsche I`ve been eyeing.

Rsaxena`s demeaning (only for himself) response has made it quite clear which side enjoys intellectual supremacy, and has the clear conscience of having a just cause. I call upon Chowk staff to take notice of Rsaxena`s insolence, and to review the most recent interaction between him and myself.
Sincerely
