All the points you have raised are true and valid. The current regimes in the Middle East and the Arab lands and other Muslim lands do not have respect for Pakistanis and do not care too much about Kashmir. The reason is simple. ALL of these rulers from every single country as as opposed to Islam and ``Islamists`` as the most rabid liberal on Chowk. They do not care about Islamic causes (apart from the occasional speech to fool the gullible masses.) You see that is PRECISELY why these people are allowed to be in power (just as Musharraf is allowed to be in power or those who preceeded him)--they serve the purposes of their foreign masters esp. the USA in ensuring that no one comes to power who may actually question the status quo in the world. For this task they are allowed to torture, kill, maim, suppress the Muslims as much as they like without any question of human rights violations being raised by USA or its lackies (Egypt, Turkey, Algeria being 3 examples, and of course, Saudi Arabia.)
If you spoke to the practising people in these arab countries though the so-called Islamists, you would realise that THEY DO REALLY care about Kashmir and about Palestine and Chechnya etc. but as they are not in a position to do anything (other than maybe send some aid or, of course, pray.)the countries policy stays the same. If they were in power though....
Why do you think the US is so afraid of an Islamic Block forming in the Middle East/South Asia. i.e. of the countries from Pakistan through to Algeria and Morroco having, as they are nowadays called, ``Islamist`` regimes? Because precisely then the current policies of the US will not be allowed eg raping the countries of their resource for the benefit of maintaining the lifestyle of the us citizens whilst ensuring the countries themselves remain poor, and dependent on aid and not a threat to their new world order.
I tell you why their is this rise of islamic activism, for want of a better term, I`d prefer traditional islam, across the muslim world. The people are realising that it is only these Muslim groups who care about other muslims and their plight and not just about being in power and keeping the US happy. THEY bleed for the Muslims of Kashmir, THEY bleed for the Muslims of Afghanistan and the starved children of Iraq, and the raped women in Bosnia and the young palestinian children facing israeli tanks...AND IT IS BECAUSE THEY WOULD THREATEN THE CURRENT STATUS QUO WHICH IS ALL IN FAVOUR OF THE US AND HER ALLIES THAT THEY ARE SO DEMONISED AND ALL MEANS ARE USED TO TRY TO PREVENT THEM FROM COMING INTO POWER ANYWHERE.
I`m sorry if i`ve rambled but i suppose what i`m saying is that yes the regimes and those with power, esp. political, ARE besharam but the majority of the masses are NOT. THEY DO bleed for muslims all over the world and would like to change things if they could but they are at the moment powerless.
It is only Islam which is the only remaining threat (at least percieved) to the New World Order [NWO], i.e. the new securalised order of the Dajjal and hence those wanting to implement it are branded as terrorists, fanatics, retrogressive etc. For what? For wanting to protect their rights against usurpation and for living according to their own belief system and for not agreeing with the ideas of the NWO.

Quote of the day for Urstruly:
1. (Koran 8:12) ``Remember Thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): ``I am with you: give firmness to the believers, I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, Smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger tips of them.``
Now go do this in Detroit.

i want to share a moment with you.
last week i was going to Nawab Shah (a town in Sindh) from Hyderabad to take a class of Marketing in arecently established private institute offering MBA courses. accompanying me was the student of the class who works in a public sector but wants to do MBA in IT so that he could compete in the changing business environment in pakistan.we were passing through the rural sindh without any fear of dacoits and enjoying the the countryside filled with mango and banana farms. he asked me to listen to an audio cassette by Kamran Rizvi of KZR on leadership. we were talking mostly in Urdu although his mother tongue was Sindhi.sometimes i was talking in Sindhi to give him an idea that i know Sindhi very well although my mother tongue is Urdu. at that moment i thought that isn`t it a great change that in a rural sindh we are travelling without fear. an urdu speaking sindhi and a sindhi speaking sindhi sharing the ideas about future trends of business in Southern
Pakistan ie while listening to the lecture by one of the leading management consultant on leadership.a public sector personnel intersted in upgrading his skills by doing mbs from an institute in the town of rural sindh and an urban citizen going all the way to nawab shah to take that class.that moment indicated a great change. and i liked being part of that.it might not sound great change but still it is a significant change.
i cant stop my self being optimistic.

Farangi-Kush ``All of them loved to flaunt their non-islamic or unIslamic ways.Ridiculing the pious & practising kind was their favourite pastime.``
You dont know the ABC`s of Islam: in a previous post you had directed people to your favorite mullahs who you claimed could prove the authenticity of the Holy Prophet (a Muslim by definition holds this as belief, and to consider the Holy Prophet`s authenticity to be beholden to ordinary men is blasphemy. When I brought this to your attention, you simply tried to joke about the whole thing.
As for your robot-like rantings about the West, you are in the same league as urstruly: having escaped from the hell people like you have created in Pakistan, and secure within the law of the Farangi societies you claim to despise, you proceed to talk of lynchings in New York when you know you are more likely to be shot while praying in a mosque in Pakistan by one of your madrassah-trained geniuses.
We will all be Judged one day, believe it or not.

Dear Krashid
This refers to several posts that you usually write in my rebuttal (on several boards). Your main monotonous argument for any issue that I raise usually is how Bengalis, Sindihis, and XYZ were killed by ``islamists`` ``in the name of Islam``. I dont know about any Sindhis, Baluchis or anyone else other than activists of Married Qaummi Movement (MQM) that were killed by Islamists aka. Jamaatis. But if you had lived in Karachi in those years you must know that it was more of a turf war that got uglier than the turf war between drug dealers.
As far as killings of Bengalis are killed I urge you to read Mr. Ahmad Saleems, Hamood ur Rehman Commission Report- Jurnail aur Siasat Dan (The Frontier Post Publications). An English version with the same title is also available for those people who look down upon anything that is written in Urdu.
At first the book is a frustrating read because we are not accustomed to reading books in which writers dont take sides or draw conclusions for their readers. This book is more like a thesis where author presents documentary evidence while sparing us from his commentary.
I know you will ask the next question why should you read a book written by an apologist or cronie of establishment/army etc.. First he is not an apologist-his book is a thesis- as object a thesis may get. Second, he is your very own Jiaala, he was punshied with leashes on his back by Army for speaking against them. He is one of the fairest writer I have seen among Paki flora and fauna. Oh! BTW I used to be a Jiala too, if you remember Pinky.
It is good to take sides but it is best when you take sides with the truth.
Tahmad #63
For some strange reason your are not willing to extend the same ``expatriate`` status to me as Mr. Gardezi as you all are so whemently trying for the past 30 posts or so. That is the reason I call your diatrib -droning wails-hypocritical.
Shankar
Your posts are usually without substance. I think you can write but you need to work hard. Read and listen first then try to write. And also take sides as I told Krashid.

salmangorsi #67:
This is a moment of serious introspection. Beware of those who cunningly divert attention by their accusatory and diversionary tactics.
Let me sincerely ask everyone of you this time.
Name one nation-wide institution that is intact, not aligned, maligned or tainted in Pakistan.
Janab Abdul Sattar Edhi, Mrs. Asma Jahangir, Dr. Adeeb Rizvi are bright beacons in that foggy outfield: but they are not federal institutions.
Please consider this as an attempt at soul searching, not scoring brownie points.
regards,
temporal

Good show!
Please ALWAYS reserve your angst for the plight of MUSLIMS(un-hyphenated) and your anger against the farangis & their cloned Dollys in India & Pakistan.
Never be misled by the liberal/humanist wolves in sheep`s attire.
There is NOTHING to debate or discuss with them. They are already retreating and developing a siege mentality.
The writing IS on the wall & everywhere else too. When their children start abandoning them,it is a sure sign that they are history.
These little pin-pricks will ease their departure.

P.S:I beseech you never to post private sectarian views again! These are family matters & not for public discussions a la farangi. If the farangis love to curse their father, mother,or prophets in public then it is their ``civilisation``.It is not progress,it is a sign of their impending collapse.

One sign of those who are the liberal/humanist kind is that they never write anything against their masters.
So it is futile to even correct them. For them there is no problem in being a muslim if the UN charter is adhered to(what a laugh!).This termite(read:based on the ``ilm`` of sociology!HA Ha ) infested instituition itself must be given a gentle push.
The liberals/humanist(nee:socialist/communist of yester-years) are aghast to see their ``education`` going down the drain--and within their lifetime to mourn it!
A carbolic & caustic lye mix is desperately needed to cleanse this funk for good.

Re:loudspeakers in temples in India
Someone in this discussion commented that most temples in India have loudspeakers. He should have qualified his statement by saying most ``north indian temples``. This habit of putting up loudspeakers in temples to let the world know we are praying is uniquely north indian. In South, which has some of the best known temples in India, loudspeakers are conspicuous by their absence. People are much less jingoistic,a lot less communal (the communal clashes that occurred in North India during partition never occurred in South; very few hindu-muslim clashes have occurred in South since then)and IMO more spiritual.

Urstruly:
PS to my previous note: Try accepting in your mind the fact that you have been wrong when you realize that is the case (as I believe is the case here). That wont make you a lesser person. Rather, it will make you a bigger and better person.
