Very nice poem. Had a couple of thoughts on the lines of identity but some other time...
#29 ``Why do we at times hate the people we love most??...WHy do we hurt the people we love most??...human nature is beyond sense...``
Not really - havent you heard of - Too much familiarity breeds contempt : )

hi zee,
how are you ? .havent heard from u from so long
well zee .. love never dies ..
if its dead .. it wasnt love ,,
its like what they say ,,
if the one is not your friend now
he never actually was ur friend
so if love can die with lil decit
or harsh words , or a careless one .
i wont call it love ..
as u said it before...
in love its always giving not taking ..
so if ur not asking for anything ,,
then u cant get hurt ,,
u only get hurt when u dont get what u have expected ,,
but as ever a good read ,, and damn i like to read ur stuff ...
peace ..

ZJ, some impressive writing here.
I`m personally still struggling with verse
and wish that I could write in Urdu!

Why do we at times hate the people we love most??...WHy do we hurt the people we love most??...human nature is beyond sense...I hope I can hold together some of the shattered rose-tinted glasses that keep me believing in the ultimate love...
yr the best zee always..xx...

Well done Parveen. One billion people of this world salute you. India needs more brave ladies like Parveen who can send jihadis to hell. Parveen has killed 15 jihadis(possibly) till now and with God`s blessings she will complete her century. DEATH TO ALL THE JIHADIS. MOTHER EARTH HAS TO BE CLEANSED OF THESE JIHADIS. And all of us Indians will have to do our own bit of sacrifice. Come Paki jihadis, we will send each of you to hell like C-in-C of Lashkar Salahuddin.

``Parveen is the only woman commando in Rajauri and among three senior level women police inspectors in the SOG. She signed up just six years ago, but already, there`s talk of her having killed 15 terrorists. It`s a story that Parveen dismisses, but it fits in with her tough-as-nails look: khaki dungarees, sneakers and camouflage commando cap. The only detail missing is the police jungle boots: they don`t fit her.
``
``No surprises here: she derives inspiration from that other tough woman cop, Kiran Bedi. ``She is India`s first woman police officer. I read about her in newspapers and magazines. I really want to meet her and tell her that she`s a great influence. I wonder if I will ever get the chance,`` she says.
Does she have any suitors? ``I don`t know,`` smiles Parveen. ``I am married to my AK-47.``

so true what you wrote.. too long too many times u turn away hoping that it is not anger and then before u know it you have turned so far that the people that u thought were close are really so far. its times like this that u need faith and belief that these people were never close and the ones that are close are nearby and u just need to believe and they will appear...and the anger turns to love..

``I dunno, I read this not just as a commentary on the death of romantic love, but of love (and the sense of wonder) in the broader sense.``
Good for you. I couldn`t see (out of personal bias) beyond the ``death of romantic love`` part.

Zeenat:
Lovely stuff!
RSaxena: Depressing? Product of dysfunctional relationships? I dunno, I read this not just as a commentary on the death of romantic love, but of love (and the sense of wonder) in the broader sense. The love of life/living, perhaps?
rgds,
PM
P.S. I`m waiting for some ultra-feminist to put a this-wouldn`t-happen-if-you-weren`t-so-dependent-in-the-first-place spin on this wonderfully human poem.

AAmir (#20):
As you know that post you referred to was not mine(#16). But you have asked certain questions. I do not want to use somebody`s Board for that...I will post my reply to you on my Board. Ok?
But after some time...looks bad to rush :)

``ASK,India be a state with its own corruption ,& bankruptsy``
First of all, check you spelling of ``bankruptsy``. And yeah India is not bankrupt. Last time I read India had foreign exchange of $42 billion, that is more than the total debt of Paksitan. Indian economy is booming falsifying all doomsayers at a rate of 6-7%. The poverty rate has come down to 26% from 36% in a decade and soon we will eradicate all the poverty at this rate. Now compare all this with Pakistan and weep. Pakistan is a failed state and the whole world knows that. Pakistan`s obsession with Kashmir will become the undoing of Pakistan. Stop dreaming about Kashmir that you people wont get anyway and save your country. If CIA reports are to be believed, there is a high probability that there would be no country called Pakistan a couple of decades later.

Z:
That goof-up of #16 notwithstanding, this is what I had posted:
Do you really want to know when love dies and why? Why are we like that, seeking immortality, when we come with an expiry date for everything, including ourselves?
Lovely lines. Don`t ask me which ones. Just let the words flow... and yes we die a little. How I wish it were more!

I have nothing whatsoever to do with #16. Gosh, I don`t write like that! Where is the original post I sent??

I believe both`of your countries can not afford to even conventional arms race let alone a nuclear one. You guys should stick to improving your populations basic standard of living. I personally believe that Pakistan has no justification being a state. It is totally corrupt and bankrupt. It should be divided equally between Iran and India. I think that may happen in the future anyway.
