Harish:

Sylvia, Dora...the ``driftwood`s wisdom is not destined`` for any of us.

Loved most of it. But male point of view. Naturally. Sensitive, but sharp. I can smell the difference in perspective...but that is what makes for good poetry. Probing the innards of someone else`s organs after they have themselves opened up their life support systems.

PS: Why are women emotional fools?

Farzana

I`m sorry, some of this poetry is getting way too cryptic for my tastes....

apart from your love for Picasso and his ``Guernica`` what else are you trying to say?

But anyway, t-bhai would disagree, but I still say poetry is very individual.

More power to you if achieve satisfaction from such writing.

My personal opinion: I don`t like it.

Why do people have to write all this poetry stuff? What`s wrong with simple prose?

PS: I am not commenting on the `quality` of the poetry on this board, as I have not read it.

Acerbic Jazbati

waisay it is appropriate since it wont get published , let this be an opportunity to fret and flounder with this...

THERE U Go

Couldn?t but put my thoughts into a poetic ( URDU ) form . Excuse my lack of facility with the language but it is my first try at poesy so I hope you understand. Some of it might be too hard to digest for a few, but no apologies for that. I might offend a few, which I have chosen to, so I don?t mind?and you wont , I know.

Kahaan gayein wohh larkiyan!?!

Hum nay sunah tha hotey thee kahin wohh nazneenain

Jin ko daikhtay he badaltey theen humarey taqdeerain

Kanoan mai baliyan jinkay theen kabhi

Un he kay badan pay ab kapray bhi nahin

Kehtey hain wohh tau hai sirf hamara FRIEND

Jiss kay SEX kay baray mai hum bhi hain bay chain

Pehlay tau achi theen wohh jin ko ghar say tha gharz

Ab tau charcha hai unn ka jin ka sirf thikaana hai DEFENCE

Indus Valley, Greenwich, Grammar ya ho BAY VIEW

Sub kay liay khula hai unn ka FULL VIEW

Aik kay thay boy friend teen magar shaadi huwey uss say

Jiss key mills theen chaar aur naukar sainkroan thay

Munnay, aaj kal namaaz tau hai duur key baat

Kalma jo phar lay ussi key hai barey baat

Main na kehta tha kay aqal o khirad say hain wohh aarey

Jo gharoan mai dish say seekhtey hain fuhush baat saarey

Tina nay mangney toarey aur Ayesha nay shaadi

Ab tau ghar ghar mai hai jab naach gaana

Sahibo phir tau aayay ga culture e fahishaana

forgotten, days of yore, when i would run bare assed `neath a blood red sky

though angel i am, my halo`s growing rusty

follicles called stuble, navels turning crusty

a portal opens, shuts again

a vision of my past domain

vaseline soaked shalwars were found

telephonic tales unwound

black beauties saw, and fell their ground

u think i`d bark when SHE`S around?

enough! i`ve had my share of fun

the retard too must face the gun

the axe shall fall, the hounds must leap

my birth in hell won`t come out cheap

when satan hears the footmen shout

``teddys home, lets have it out!``

the tears will flow and words will die

when will i see that blood stained sky??

they`ll maim my soul and crucify

they`ll hang my skin from pillars high

they`ll castrate the body which was once i

they`ll chop my toes and feast on pie!

they`ll boil my sperm and cackle cry

while i sprout my wings and prepare to fly

for though lucifer may rule in nust

he can`t compete with teddys lust!

cuz when i fall, i`ll rise indeed

and jump upon my faithful steed

shandar he`s called, so screw my bane

i dream of horsies lustrous mane!!!

Liked the last two lines of the 3rd. poem
very much.
It is best to try and understand and write about
just one woman at a time!

Oyay Hinduo!

Where is chacha Sadhna. I am almost begining to miss him. She is the only one man enough among you. Gupta has turned into a foxy lady who likes to talk to herself and other laloo panjoos hindutva dogs are just a waste of breath. Listen and listen good. Hindu ass whupping week is scheduled a week from now when these goddamned poets will return our chowk back to us warriors. So `hay when the cat is away`. But I am watching you. Miss Mohajir make a note of it.

Re: Harish

A cryptic poem! There was a nightmarish touch of morbidity to the whole verse, which really appealed to the cynic in me!

The references to the Spanish Civil War and Picasso were interesting and given that Guernica was flattened by the German Luftwaffe, then known as the German Condor Legion while operating in the Spanish Civil War for Franco`s fasists, I have to ask you whether you were proverbially screaming in a personal sense at some thing?

Harish, yaar this is rhetorical question so ignore the reply! ;) lol

Still, like Slink said, it was a great poem and glad to see you back on the Chowk artile list!

Ciao!
