[Who was Nathuram Godse -killer of Mahatma Gandhi
A hindu like you Haria!]
He did that to avenge Gandhi`s support of Muslims. Not that I support it.
[Who was serial Killer SHOBH rAJ ,killer of innocent America teen agers on summer break in ASia? A Hindu like You ,Haria]
CHARLES Sobhrah is a Hindu? CHARLES?
[Who was Killer of King Of NEPAL ,Gajendera Fatricidal,Matricidal Genocidal,?
HINDU ,like you .Haria!
IF a A Hindian like you, are willing to take all these & more guilt ,then we as muslims `think ` about what illogical, irratiional & b,s, & crap for a reason you have been peddling to women of your daughters age........Haria !]
Hindu religion doesn`t offer 72 houris and 24 peach-bottomed young boys as rewards to those who die killing people of a different faith.
That is why you have to blame it on the individuals.
But when your mullahs are standing around with kalashnikovs in hand shooting Shias and Ahmediyyas, accusing Christians and Hindus of blasphemy, and teaching in your madrassahs that they should kill the kaffirs, it is time to assign the blame to Islam.
So, trot out your `Islam is Peace` crap again.
I am NOT buying it.

SRINAGAR: Chief minister Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday lashed out at the US for its ``double standards``.
Speaking in the state assembly on the first day of its autumn session here, Farooq pointed out that it was the US wgich had helped the Taliban to drive the forces of the former Soviet Union out of Afghanistan. He said the US on the one hand helped the Palestinians and on the other, assisted Israel too. It should come out openly with the truth, the CM said. He said the US imposed sanctions against India when it possessed hydrogen bomb and other chemical weapons.
Paying rich tributes to departed state political leaders, besides remembering the thousands of people killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, the CM said he had warned former president of US Bill Clinton about the growing terrorism in the world. But the latter had ridiculed him at that time.
Farooq said he would not be surprised if terrorists smashed into heavily sensitised places as they were brainwashed and determined to get killed in the process.
About Pakistan helping militancy in Kasmir, Farooq said the axe would also fall on them in the near future. Pakistan could not grab even an inch of J&K from India, he asserted.
He also cautioned the security forces to act judiciously while dealing with militancy as the bullet was no answer to the bullet.

Thanks you, Akash, for that enlightening post.. Jeez.. an here I was laboouring under the misconception that all acts practised by Hindus had their basis in Hinduism. Silly me :) Thanks so much for pointing out my error!

Strong words, but i agree with the essence of what you. It`s rationalism that redeemed christianity. Catholics, calvinists, protestants are quoting Paul & Timothy now, but it was only John for a long time.
Religion is dragged along by society, not the other way round. Organized religion has been the biggest blot in human history.

Dear Stuka and Ali1 . . . what DOES a ``bhindi dick`` mean or imply? I mean, I have learnt and used a few but this is a new one.
``Bhindi`` = ladyfingers. Dick is not Tracy.
``Lady fingers dick!!``
``Lady finger`s dick?``
``Lady, finger Dick.``
``Dick, finger lady.`` (Thank you).
``Finger Dick, Lady`` (Presidio)
Oh boy, this can be fun.

I guess they want to do it right, when they do it....
Just thinking out loud...

``with the practice of objectifying women to such a degree that they are to end their very lives with their husbands. ``
In case PM you are referring to Sati, some research to find about its origin may be appreciated. There is hardly any mention of Sati in either Vedas, Upnishadas or Geeta. However there are multiple references to the concept of Sati in Hindu literature after ninth century AD. It became popular especially amongst Rajputs in twelth century and later on spread to the elite sections of Hindu society by emulation. This custom even at its peak was rarely practiced by commoners. Rajputs called this practice ``Jauhar``. After the Rajput menfolk went to the battlefield and died in the war, the Rajput women used to burn themselves in the palace to save their honour from Sultanate(Muslim) rulers. Refer to the historical story of Rani Padmini who did Jauhar after the Rajput forces perished against Alauddin`s forces.
What essentially began as an exercise to save one`s honour later became a part of Hindu custom observed mainly in the upper castes. The reform leaders of Hinduism like Iswarchandra Vidyasagar, Dayanand Saraswati, Ram Mohan Roy criticised this practice and did their utmost to eradicate it. ``Vidhawa vivah`` ie marriage of widows became very popular in Bengal during twentieth century. Today such instances are a thing of past. If Hinduism has survived it is because of its flexibility and capability to reform with time.
