Binifer:
Another One! This one has a different theme, but the lyrics are simply beautiful. It`s from the Lion King and it`s a beautifully sung song by Elton John. Tim Rice deserved standing ovation for the lyrics and I think he also got an award for the soundtrack.
Can You Feel The Love Tonight
Music by Elton John
Lyrics by Tim Rice
There`s a calm surrender to the rush of day
When the heat of a rolling wind can be turned away
An enchanted moment, and it sees me through
It`s enough for this restless warrior just to be with you
And can you feel the love tonight
It is where we are
It`s enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight
How it`s laid to rest
It`s enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best
There`s a time for everyone if they only learn
That the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn
There`s a rhyme and reason to the wild outdoors
When the heart of this star-crossed voyager beats in time with yours

Zahra #613 Thanks for appreciating my creative efforts. I was inspired by the talent we have on chowk of the ``hate muslim, hate pakis, and shankar too for not hating them`` club.

Country P starts producing brainwashed morons. One set of brainwashed morons claims they will win the world for Islam. The other set of brainwashed morons begins to write brainwashed history.
Did the ``country`` P win?

Dpty PMship actually sounds like too much hard work. Minister for Hedonism would be find (please solve your problems before you come to see me so I can help you more).

“jagannath temple is not a tourist spot. it may have become one. but that is not the purpose to let foreigners move around with camers clicking on `how cute` idols. it is a place of worship, devotees are welcome. rest can visit konark and tanjavar who have become more of tourist spot than temple.”
A family friend, a hindu Punjabi lady, went to one of these famous temples in the South (might have been Jagannath) and was refused entry because she wasn’t wearing a sari, but a shalwar kameez. So while concerns about house of worship/tourist attraction are probably sound, resolving them does result in some preconceptions (in this case the Pandas’) riding rough shod.

kafir k khan,
Your mentioning Banaras brought back memories. I visited that city many years ago (fresh out of my junior residency and looking for a MD slot). I went to give a medical entrance exam to BHU. The city is dirty (sorry if i hurt anyone`s feelings here). They say Kashi Vishwanath temple is the oldest in the country and i believe them. The temples was so worn out and the areas surrounding it so dirty that i felt that the place should be run by a trust and public should donate money for the upkeep. I am not surprised the Pandas are so despised. The Ghats stink. I doubt if anything has changed since my visit (1987).

“Ahhh.... why do I still have this hesitation about rifling through somebody`s drawers.....”
Let me advise you: never rifle through somebody’s drawers unless you already have a pretty good idea what you’re going to find. Words to live by. Truly.

bong_dongs,
If true, then it is wrong and i condemn it. It is yet another instance of how Pandas make their own rules and then justify them by quoting some obscure scriptures. I must confess i have not visited Puri Jagannath temple so far and after what i hear, i do not want to visit it. I have come to a stage in my life when i feel perfectly happy to sit in isolation and meditate.

bong-dongs #612 ``The ``pandas`` in Puri are an absolute abomination. ``Praying in peace`` is the last thing they know how to do, fleecing tourists in the name of religion is more to their style.``
Thanks for adding to my knowledge. Let us then pray that the followers of the pandas pray in peace, and may the tourists go unfleeced by the pandas. Amen.
PS In most countries, people keep their pandas in a zoo.

Stuka #490 you listened to Musarrat Nazir while commuting. This morning, while commuting, I listened to Lata part of the way (yes, I am still not done listening to the CDs I mentioned a few months ago on chowk!), and western classical music part of the way. Traffic was s-l-l-ow, but I was in no rush to get to where I was going, and was in my own little seventh heaven for the one hour it took to get where I was going.
Some people build walls around themselves, as defined by national boundries or whatever. You and I know better - unrestricted by such walls, we enjoy whatever comes floating our way - be it music or art of science or deep thoughts on the internet or the company of friends.

Are RSS, Shiv Sena, and VHP in the coalition Government in India? If yes, can we safely say that Vajpayee has terrorist connections?

Gowardhan what country is this country `O`... Since this country is merely country `O` a hypothetical country then let me respond with the same analogy with more realistic countries..
Country I launches and offensive in Rann of Kutch and gets rearside handed to it by Country P. Country P launches a covert operation in Country K oppressed and illegally occupied by Country I. Country I responds by attacking sovereign territory of Country P in pitch dark declaring `we will have lunch in the gymkhana of country P`s city L`, Country I`s large but sheep like army is repelled and country I`s numerically superior Air Force is blown out of the sky. Country R big brother of country I comes to Country I`s rescue. Ceasefire. A numerically smaller Armed forces of country P keep country I in check. World Generals and Leaders hail P`s military performance as outstanding. Even responsible generals of Country I`s army admit the superiority of Country P`s Armed forces.
The 6 years later, when a part of country P`s army is waging civil war in far off province, Country I
goes in with numerically much superior force, to which country P`s small Army in that province surrenders.
26 years later computer nerds from Country I claim
great Martial spirit and great martial success because of their victory against country P. Why? Because one article in Wall Street Journal a well renowned Economic Journal opined in one single sentence obliquely.
As for all the Generals of USAF and US army who agree with Country P`s version? Well they are all on Country P`s Payroll!
Well said :)

Dear rsaxena,
I cant say I understand what you are going through, but there are places where you can talk out traumatic experiences of your childhood, especially child abuse and molestation. By the way, in case you didnt notice, other than your bigoted like minded people, an overwhelming majority of sane Indians on these boards dont consider me a liar... maybe its time you sought help for delusions as well :).
Hope you feel better

Gowardhan,
My dear sir, WSJ is indeed a Very credible `Economic` and `Business` journal. That is exactly why I subscribe to it. It is probably better than Pakistan`s Business Inquirer, the Pakistani equivalent... But what is Your point? Can you please show me what your point is? Please. Since I highly doubt you have ever touched a wall street journal in your life, I think you should stay out of the conversation :)... Thankyou very much. By the way can you show me one instance where I have ever quoted Pakistani Newspapers or authors?
So what is your obsession with Pakistani Newspapers?
Given that Pakistani News journals dont even come close to any of the American or western publications, but they are much better than the hate filled Hindu fundamentalist propaganda emanating from Indian Dailies like Times of India and Hindustan Times.
