Desire is never far away from any serious poet.
Some strong symbolism here.

``When there is a forty
against my wrist?``

Need a little help understanding the line above.

Ras

Mahim:

I like the thought but am a little concerned with the imagery. Usually one receives if one gives but liquor, lipstick and substances with DNA in abundance are auxillary to the act. May the force be with you......

A forty is a large bottle of beer popular with college boys. Vivez Molson Bleu Dry!

Ah, am so fascinated with men and their desire for women.

Glad someone enjoys my Friday Times work. The column is a pleasure to write. I like messing with my readers.

Mahim

Nice minimalism. It`s hard to pull off sometimes.

Hope to see more!

regards

Mahim,

What kind of education/background do you expect your readers to have in order to understand what you write?

I sware I don`t have a clue as to what you`re trying to say.... probably its just me. Obviously chowk editors understood your poem and decided to publish it.

How is the contribution to the Pakistani society coming along?

``what the hell do you mean....just go ahead and say it in plain English...is that so hard to do?``

You summoned?

The Drumzial interpretation:

``Is it that your lip

stick is redder

when the shades

are pulled

over only two

windows? When there is a forty

against my wrist?

Listless;

my lips

cling to the liquor-

soaked rim.``

-The blocking of her eyes brings new attention to her lips, as duz the fact that he`s pissy drunk (ie bout 2 get freaky).

``I mull

over the pattern

in the DNA

of my

desire.``

-S/he wants to get laid.

I think Mahim is better at this then I...

(Note: there`s a much deeper interpretation to the first verse but ya can`t feed meat to babies- juss playing).

Poet(&Poetess) utter such outrageous words (DNA)that they themselves dont understand well.

Thats why most of the good ones are dog drunk(ghalib &english one dont have taboo )before they can start speaking irrelevently in delerium like state of mind. Then the sane people are suppose to come next sheepishly peering through there bifiocal lenses ,trying to figure out meaning in each syllable like an ABSTRACT art.And when you looking intently either at sentence or a piece of paintings volumes of commentary just flows ....all in the name of ,like vitamins its suppose to be good for us.CULTURALLY !!

These are the private musings of a Paki ass(as in donkey) who has just been whipped 40 times by a uniform to mount a salivating Paki mare`s ass(as in -hole).The red red ass-hole is making the animal ass(as in donkey) wonder what will happen to his offspring? & if at all so possible,Can DNA & not AIDS be the result? Will the offspring go phhoren(thank you yourstruly)or get his Zero-Level here. What about the greencard? Are even mules under suspicion-- post-911.Even if he is a Democrats`legit seed?

And then the really big issues?OK so even if he has to mount this b/itch of a mare & not someone his level why can`t he at least have the freedom to get the real thing--few inches below. Some consolation though. At least the one who whipped was shouting in english. What a relief----phew!

And hey,the silver lining!the mare`s been around!was part of the Royal Stables on an exchange programme. No ordinary ass(as in -hole)this mare, the monarchs` own studs serviced her.

Oh what a fantasy this.First S&M and now the english connection! ``My cup(wink,I`m being polite)runneth over the rim.Got to go,got to mount``.
