Good to hear that you got some r`n`r...do you study karate? For how long? I haven`t been to Tae Kwon Do for several monthes-scheduling conflicts with classes and work-and I really miss it. I`ve been trying to keep my endurance and stamina up by running and kickboxing, but its not the same kind of discipline and high...

Thanks for your comments on Pinkyfeld...Zafar`s got her right now, and its expectedly brilliant...as for Ummi Jan; she`s doing well, thanks for asking. She is also quite easily scandalized-must be hereditary. :) Maybe one day she`ll make an appearance on Chowk...she liked Mushy`s speech...

Hey! Perhaps some of us would benefit from checking in with our Mommies (present company excluded, of course)! It seems some males on Chowk have a great deal of contempt for women and therefore, their mommies and sisters...I don`t know about you, but my moms says things like, ``Samina! Don`t curse like a sailor!`` (this when we are driving in NYC and some dingbat with a license he/she got out of a Crackerjacks box cuts us off). So we raise the volume on the Lata M. cassette and zoom along... Its great fun!

Btw, saw Kandahar with Ummi Jan. Its quite good. Anyone else see it?

This whole thing about u guyz being the morality police is funny at best. Lets face it, u editors are the kings of this site, and as such can include/disclude whatever...

But the minute u try to rationalize ur actions... Its transparent. Why the hell do people need to be censored? Ah because all of us havent been socialized (roboticized) like the chowk editors. Some of us get angry and do all sorts of nasty things like ``name calling`` (--The 20th century bogeyman). I guess that makes us Human (why am i explaining this to computer people???). We should learn to disagree like our kings, the chowk editors. Think and act like them, otherwise we aint welcome. Right?

This is what scares me :) I couldn`t be happier. A well-deserved break after months of hard work, company of close and delightful friends, a MaiKaLalJaikishan ``teaching`` me how to dance, another Bruce Lee wannabe trying (unsuccessfully) to match his Karate chops with mine, salacious gossip about all and sundry, pitiless ribbing, empty, shameless chatter, teary-eyed reminiscences about days bygone and loves lost, insterspersed with some heavy-duty reading, making plans for the future, cool-crisp air outside, and physical exercise!

The only imperfection in this sea of perfection? It will all end in a few days, and I will be back into the belly of that beast - work :)

That is my dukh katha (tale of sorrow). How about you?

I have no idea what sexual references add to our discussions here. All that such uncalled-for references do is to arouse either laughter, mirth, and merriment, or disgust, anger, and revulsion, depending upon which side our sympathies lie.

So, whatever you guys do, develop some goddamn consistent policy, and apply it fairly across the board.

If you (don`t) allow X to lace his/her posts with demeaning sexual references, (don`t) allow it also to Y.

If X makes unwarranted references to Y`s sexual organ, Y has a perfectly legit right to explain how he will use that sexual organ on X and X`s family. Quit being so fukcing squeamish about it if you allow people to go down that dirt road.

I actually know what ABCD means; I used to find it as amusing as FOB, (not so ha-ha) but its the curse words I`m somewhat fascinated by...my Ummi Jan has been scandalized by some of the words I`ve been running by her...``We did not raise you to use such words!`` she scolds. She also thinks my online manners have worsened in the last eight monthes; sigh, perhaps she`s right...on the other hand, she was amused by some of the Pinkyfeld installments...the struggle between good and bad manners continues...
