Dost Mittar
Just when I was expecting you to tell us more about the VHP version of Indian History, of your revulsion to our choices of ``conversion``, our ``not Indian`` culture and heritage - you blind sighted me - now you can even comment with conviction, if not education, on Musa and his Creator. Why not? You have a conscience, and armed with cliches, you are formidable indeed.

````However, as you are well aware, Pakistan`s defense posture is wholly India-centric whereas India`s is only partly so.``
This is incorrect. India gave up on the arms race with China, a long time ago.``
For a military person, that does betray a very inadequate understanding of India`s overall defense/offense strategy.
You certainly don`t believe that China has been arming Pakistan from the goodness of her heart or because their is some ``ideological affinity`` between the two, do you? :)
Perhaps, you can take a look at just a few things that obsevers like Stratfor, Jane Defense Weekly, and the IISS have been writing in an area of interest to me - the naval warfare:
Oh, I forgot. Since I can`t eat beef (I know..I know...but I am making the rules here!), we will observe/pay respect to all kinds of ``prohibitions`` members of the HEAVENLY CLUB may want to entertain.
No beef for me. Actually, NO MEAT for me.
No pork for those who don`t want to eat it.
No smoking for those who don`t want to smoke.
No booze for me and others who don`t want to drink.
You get the point: all prohibitions are on individual basis. When you sign up, you tick off all the prohibtions you want to observe. You can keep fasts every day or on no days at all. If you fail, you are punished, like being made to tell a Musharraf-Bajpai joke or sing a Jinnah-Gandhi song in a loya jirga kind of a setting.
dost-mittar #222: ``You asked what difference would it make if you changed your name and I explained.``
Point taken. But I don`t think it would return me to my pre-conversion heritage, as you originally stated.
``However, as you are well aware, Pakistan`s defense posture is wholly India-centric whereas India`s is only partly so.``
This is incorrect. India gave up on the arms race with China, a long time ago. China is too far ahead. India`s policy now is to put Pakistan into an arms race, and to become an Indian Ocean mini-superpower. Unfortunately, Pakistan is standing in the way.
Please take a look at the armament India purchases. In the last three years India has spent billions of dollars on specifically attack aircraft, tanks, and offensive naval equipment. India would only need defensive equipment against China. You may not have a military background, but could you explain how India plans to use tanks and submarines against China. And is India planning to launch an air attack against China using its Mirage 2000 and Su-27s attack aircraft. These are all targetted towards Pakistan.
India does not want to denuclearize, because it does not want to. Plain and simple.
``I would be surprised if grandpa knew much about Marathas, let alone Tamils. Yes, he was fighting local kings. But there`s a difference between ``ghareloo`` fights and fighting with the outsider.``
The Marathas and Tamils were mentioned to highlight external contexts. Grandpa`s constituency was Rajputana. Everyone outside Rajputana was not gherallo. It didn`t make any difference whether the outsider came from Afghanistan or the south.
``The religion is unimportant but local and foreigner issue is not.``
Anyone outside Rajputana was an outsider.
``You are converting a simple business decision into a nationalistic one. Why would a businessman keep his product solely to a single foreign country?``
This is my whole point. The fact that it makes business sense to market Indian media and entertainment in Pakistan, is an indication that Pakistanis have accepted many things Indian.
``don`t live in India and so can`t answer your question. Personally, Junoon is not my cup/jaam of music.``
I will take this as a No.
ram-rahim and DRUMZ,
I am starting a new club of proud non-Hindus, proud non-Muslims, proud non-Christians etc. Care to join?
Oh, folks can ``maintain their religions`` to keep their fanatical neighbors at bay (and may be confuse the Lord into letting them enter the real (and real boring) heaven in the hereafter).
...So members of this HEAVENLY club can be non-Hindu Hindus, non-Muslim Muslims, and non-Christian Christians.
Our only religious obligation will be for every member of this HEAVENLY CLUB to visit Rome, Mecca, and Ayodhya at least once every year. Alternatively, one can win equal amount of favor with the Gods and disfavor with the Satans by joining in a HUGE gala eat-drink-sing-and-dance party.
Anybody wants to sign up? I am preparing the fliers to be put on the walls of Rome, Mecca, and Ayodhya.
Nice to find a long lost zaat bhai on the other side of the border !! I am Chauhan Rajput too - our ancestors moved from Nimrana in Rajasthan (if you ever visit India you should go there - the old Quila is now a heritage hotel) to Haryana 200 years ago and though they lost all their land to the land ceiling act and the two beautiful havelis are now in disrepair - our village is still very lovely !!
Anyway, Khamagani Bhaisaheb, maybe I`ll send you a cyber Rakhi this year !
Ram: ``They never admit their own cruelty, they always blame their cruelty on political/religious leaders of their victims.``
Ive only said that a billion damn times. Since people cant think for themselves, they assimilate with groups of even stupider people. This makes non-thinking even easier cuz the sheep just spit out the opinions of their group-which incidentally is always on the ``right`` side of things.
And Hamid: That was sooooo wrong.
Truth # 219: Jail Road used to be called Golden Road, due to the excess of girl`s colleges on it (maybe it is still called this...i am begining to feel old....although i am not really that old).
Let us look at last 55-year history Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan and Burmese people (regardless of religions).
They constantly praises of their own history and religions, they think that they are spiritually superior to Europeans.
They always proclaim how peace loving and tolerant are their religions vis-à-vis Christianity and European people (Islam prohibits killing of innocents.., Buddha preaches ‘Ahinsa’ .. , Vedas/Gita teachings are non-violent/non-militaristic etc etc )
Reality is totally opposite.
They regularly kill their neighbors by thousands, using guns, stones, knifes and kerosene and without any remorse.
They never admit that they can instantly become animals (however my father thinks animals behave better than these humans)
They never admit their own cruelty, they always blame their cruelty on political/religious leaders of their victims.
Is KLPD a clone of NYPD ? Why should grapes be distributed ? Grapes are just sugar? No alcohol ?
I know what Muslim martyr are getting in paradise. Those who have killed Hindus in India get excellent treatment while Afghans get just ``good`` care.
Virgins line up to get laid. All clean girls - after medical checks done by physicians of Pakistan Army Corp. Viagra is plenty and paid for by Saudi Royal family. No need for domdoms as rubbers are popularly called. Interestingly all virgins are WASP females- progeny of infidels. Group thing is very popular with Arabs.
Day starts early. No clothes. Virgins come with honey on their tits. Jehadis lick them. Arrak, a godly wine, is poured on the shoulders on these women which trickles down the breats. Shahids open their mouths underneath not to miss a drop of it.
It is only all boys club. Women can only watch. Tahmed, take a Hajj over there. No ration card required. Just being a Pakistani will get you in.
Stuka #176: ``You have not met the right Indians. I would love to meet with you and talk for hours about your country`s culture, food, music, social life, history, politics (stuff not even relating to India) etc etc.``
You may be correct. Perhaps I have not met the right ones. I have however met hundreds of Indians now. I have worked on a day to day basis with over a hundred in the past ten years or so. One would think I would have met one person, with whom, I could discuss Pakistan. Usually, we just end up discussing Indian entertainment. They know very little about Pakistan, outside cricket. They do try to be polite and make an attempt to discuss Pakistani movies, without realizing that most Pakistanis themselves don`t watch Pakistani movies.
Not that there is much about Pakistan to discuss. But still, there must be something more to Pakistan than Imran Khan and Wasim Akram.
Sardarjis do seem quite interested in Lahore and Punjab, however.
So either you are a Sardarji, or you are a uniquely inquisitive Indian, who happens to know something about Pakistan, somehow or the other. Or you live next to the border and can see into Pakistan......which one is it.
``No; it takes more than that. It requires the authorization of the District Collector/Commissioner {Collector is the title more commonly used in the south and Commissioner seems to be the prevalent title in the north for the topmost district official) before the police can fire on a mob. And the police are never given blanket permission to fire on civilian crowds. They must report back on crowd behavior and seek firing orders. That is how you protect the civilians from police brutality``
Oh really!!! Thank you for telling me about the checks and balances on Police Brutality. Are you aware of the BijBehara massacre in Srinagar in 1990. More than 40 people were killed and hundreds injured when the police fired on Muslim demonstraters. All civilians.
Have you heard about the refitting of AN32 transport aircraft with heavy machine guns to conduct low flying strafing over villages in Assam which are ULFA dominated?
You say the Police are ``never`` given blanket permission to fire at crowds. How come that permission is now given and shoot at sight orders are now in place. As u said, that ``never`` happens. How long does it take to get permission from the DC? Three days?
The unvarnished truth lies in the number of dead civilians. This is not the country that I would even want to belong to. Either the secular vision of India stands, and you are a traitor, or your vision of India comes into play, and I will willingly be a traitor.
``the problem with Muslims lies in their psyche. Islam had dominated the world at one point in time, and Muslims are still stuck in that mind state, ignoring the progression of society. until the fanatic Muslims get out of their ignorant seventh century mindset, they`ll remain in their respective little cesspools all over the world and suffer the consequences.``
In all fairness to the muslim innocent children & illiterate women ,it is too naive & simplistic an explanation of the tragedy in India .
You keep comparing Jews with muslims of India & elsewhere .Even the educated aethist Hindu dont come close incompetition to ``european race`` dominant jews of Zionism.The way the world is now ,it is you, who is dreaming of the days when muslims ruled the world & jews acted as there scholar advisors even in the hey days of Cardova Spain & baghdad ,Isanbul Ottoman & Byzzantine Empire!
