Binifer #114,
yadda yadda yadda....you`ve said all that before....take a deep breath and be happy... because you`re a fellow woman in a delicate physical state, and i don`t want to bug you too much, i won`t sermonize you anymore...good luck with the baby and eat lots of kachi keriyan.
except for the `dickweed` part, your comments to ali1 were quite impressive. way to go.

Another resignation over Gujarat.
http://www.indian-express.com/full_story.php?content_id=677
Samata gave in to BJP, will pay price: Shambhu
Nirmala Ganapathy
Patna, April 10: A day after resigning as Samata Party spokesman, Shambhu Srivastava has warned that the party may have to pay a political price for its volte face on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. ‘‘This has damaged the reputation of the Samata Party. It will cost us politically,’’ he told The Indian Express in an interview.
Sticking to his stand, Srivastava said the party had caved in to pressure from the BJP. ‘‘I had issued a statement on Sunday which had the full backing of the party leadership, including George Fernandes. I spoke to Fernandes four times on Monday. He didn’t mention a thing to me.’’
He says he was caught totally off-guard. ‘‘I really don’t know what transpired between my departure from Delhi and arrival in Patna. Nobody contacted me. Why wait two days before denying the statement?’’
Yesterday Samata president V V Krishna Rao released a statement distancing the party from Srivastava’s demand for Modi’s ouster. Incidentally, even when Shambhu Srivastava was asking for Modi’s scalp in New Delhi, Jaya Jaitley, who is close to Fernandes, was giving the CM a clean chit at a seminar in Hyderabad. Party sources said BJP president Jana Krishnamurthy and Union Home Minister L.K. Advani called up Fernandes and put pressure on him to change the statement, saying damage had been done to the alliance. ‘‘Samata is the BJP’s closest ally. It should not be seen to be working under pressure,’’ said Srivastava.
He was tipped off by the media in Patna about the change in his party’s stand. He says he then drafted his resignation letter, which was typed in Delhi because he didn’t have access to a computer in Patna and faxed back to him. He signed it and then it was faxed to the party leadership.
‘‘Most of the Samata Party MPs are of the opinion that Modi should go,’’ he claimed...and only if Modi goes or the party changes its stand will I change my mind,’’ he said. ‘‘Vajpayee and Modi can’t coexist for any length of time. If Modi continues, Vajpayee will have to go,’’ Srivastava stressed.
And his verdict on the CM is clear: ‘‘This man is totally incapable of restoring peace and security in Gujarat. He makes a distinction between sections of his own people. His actions are partisan and he has lost all moral right to continue as CM. In the interest of the BJP, he should be removed.’’
He is in no hurry to return to Delhi and things are not about to change for him. Before leaving for Russia today, Fernandes denied that there were any differences in the party over Gujarat.
‘‘We have never demanded anybody’s resignation as it is not a solution to the crisis,’’ said the Defence Minister.

shankar bhai #115, ``men can give gaalis..thats Ok..but Allah forbid if a gal uses colorful language..its not er..appropriate! hah..double standard!``
with all due respect, you know as well as i do that i`ve held the male interactors here to the same standards as females. i`m disappointed and surprised that you make that accusation to me, of all people. you`ve seen me interact with the male morons here.
``Chowk is not a church OK...Just because some of us use mirchi masala in our language doesnt mean we wont get a visa to jannat OK..you talk your way & we talk our way..``
Chowk is also not a place where a person like me will just accept everything and be agreeable all the time, with everyone. if i chose to tell someone that profanities will not get her anywhere, i will chose to do so. i`m not here to make happy small talk and chamcha-giri. i have an opinion and i will say it, whether someone likes it or not.
IN MY OPINION, people do not earn respect in this world by going around calling others ``chootpieces`` and ``ullu ka pathas.``
if you think that`s acceptable behavior, i don`t care whether it`s on an online forum, or on a public street, that`s your prerogative. i don`t agree with it, that`s all.
``Sheesh...some people...I wont mention any names.. walk around in life with a thumb up their butts & want the rest of us to do the same...``
and some people, i won`t mention any names, walk around in life thinking that everyone who disagrees with them have a ``thumb up their butts.``

Dukhi Ram
In a very broad sense , I think the ones who want to build the temple are really asserting their sense of outrage at being raped , denied their civilisation and being thrust with a language and culture that was not theirs for ages. It is alright for Arabs to talk of taking back Andalus by force because the Moors ruled them once.
Frankly if you look at the centuries of Mogul suzerainty and compare it with the 3 centuries of British rule, India was given all that matters in today`s world by the British - talk of railways that connect the length and breadth of the nation, the language to a higher education or institutions where none existed.
It is easy to be ``romantic`` and claim that Moguls ushered in a golden era , far from it , the vast majority of Indians did not participate in it, only ``traitors` who chose to shift allegiances ever enjoyed. The problem in northern parts as well as the split of the country on account of religion is an aftermath of the foundations laid down by Moguls. A language , a religion or a cuisine do not qualify for a muster as long as people feel alienated.
Some historians even argue that Moguls were not keen on islamising India because they wanted India to be a land of ``infidel`` Indians whom they could lord over, if it had been islamised they would have had to shared power and spoils with the natives.

PS: what is more, is that you will see that I being the bigger man, walked away from such petty insults then.. but in retrospect however, if you don`t teach mischief mongers, it comes to bite you back, as tahmed did here on this board.
Tahmed needs to be put in his rightful place. He should be stopped from fingering everyone.

Is Tahmed really innocent? or is he a canniving mischievious soul without any ethics whatsoever?
Remember this incident can`t be viewed divorced from the rest of the events.. I have tolerated and ignored Tahmed for a very long time, but his stupid comments, and his selective attacks on me have gone on for a very long time, even when I haven`t said anything remotely offensive or `disagreeable` to him...
For example Kindly consider these posts:
My Harmless Post 245 on another board:
http://www.chowk.com/bin/showr.cgi?f=rgopal_mar2502&n=120#reply245
As you will see this has nothing against Tahmed or anyone, but will it stop tahmed from attacking me:
Here is Tahmed`s unprovoked post to me:
http://www.chowk.com/bin/showr.cgi?f=rgopal_mar2502&n=110#reply256
This, in conjunction with his unprovoked attack on me on this board, will prove beyond a measure of a doubt that Uncle Tahmed is trying to pull a smart one... if my insults are too much for the old man, maybe he shouldn`t take pangas in the first place, instead of now emailing Shankar and Binifer and playing the victim.
-YLH
PS But ah, shankar will continue his unjustified support for this monster!

Shankar,
Let us reconsider the events once more...
1)YLH made a harmless statement.
2)Tahmed insulted him.
3)YLH inquired why and explained his position.
4)Tahmed insulted him again.
5)YLH insulted tahmed by calling a spade a spade.
The fact is that there was NO disagreement. Tahmed just wanted to vent out his frustrations, about which one can only speculate. Either that.. or he is a senile old man. Would you rather have me speculate out in the open... I am sure that will be more insulting.

Dont `cutiepie` me. And continue your politically correct sermonizing for as long as you wish to, just keep me out of it. As for `private information` when was it the last time i addressed your highness with my hormonal state? Get it, miss scout? When i address you with personal information, please feel free to advice and sermonize, otherwise, do try and refrain. But then again, since this is a `public forum`, one has to tolerate all kinds.
Have a very nice day.
ali1
While that is a thought, it is a very nasty one. Please refrain from using me and my upcoming baby in your nonbudding relationship with miss scout. Also, my dear child, contrary to popular belief, us women can do very well without you dickheads all over us.

Aicha from Morocco
If his action was meant to spark anything it has not happened. If he wanted to engage the Govt. in anything more meaningful he should have stayed.
India has had its share of few good apples and plenty of rotten ones, so one tends to be cynical. May be Harsh`s liveral arts background leaves him with no options other than pen a poem and back off from any sort of serious engagement.
