shankar: I dont want to reform ylh. Imagine chowk with ylh posting respectful posts like ``Hey! of course you are right! I have been wrong all along!! Thank you Mr. Shankar sir most kindly for your good advice.`` Or Naqshbandi posting ``I read Mr. Ahmed`s post with great interest, and decided that he had a point. So, I have decided to stop confusing myself by reading all this garbage by Mullah This and Hazrat That.`` Or Urstruly singing ``It`s a small world after all`` and discussing the possibility of organizing a ``Peace in South Asia March``. Or perhaps Harimau announcing that he is deeply repentant and wishes to spend the rest of his life promoting communal harmony and goodwill. Chowk would no longer be so much fun if we reformed some people here.
ylh #183 you write ``Shankar to tahmed321``. That, btw, was Shailender #172, not Shankar, whom you were quoting. Could it be that you are getting a bit forgetful by hanging out with us Alzheimer-ridden people too long??
PS: Let me make your job easier by drafting a response to this post on your behalf:
``Go to hell, you senile fool! you monster!! I am dead serious! Pakistan Zindabad!``.

Nasah,
Thankyou for your post, and advice. I agree that I can be intemperate. However, with both Hamidm and Tahmed, they went beyond my breaking point.
I have been tolerating constant fingering by tahmed for months now. But he never ceased and desist from his amateurish actions, to win my respect as a human being and a fellow Pakistani.
I mean seriously man... what was so wrong with my post no 2 that deserved an outright attack by tahmed. He apparently had a problem with it because it is `so damned played out in Pakistan`.
But then Quran has been played out for much longer than that, I don`t see him stopping from reverting to islam and quran to prove others wrong?
The problem is that the elderly generation on chowk, the members of the generation that so miserably failed Pakistan, don`t really understand my generation. Furthermore, they arrive at certain presupposed assumptions about myself in particular. Tahmed`s problem with me is that he feels I am so damned nationalistic and I don`t talk about collective humanity.
1) it is not true. My conception of Nationhood is as a building block in a comity of nations, which is the collective Humanity. I adhere to something of the Bahai World View (though I am not a Bahai convert because I hate all religiousity) which believes in Unity in diversity and `United Nations`.. a marked difference from `United World`.
2) Even if I am nationalistic, as in I celebrate my nationhood as my nationality, it is my right given to me by the UN Human Rights charter.
But because tahmed has assumed that I am hitler re incarnate or something, he will continue to finger me. He is intolerant of me. And that is why this conflict between myself and tahmed will continue for a very long time no matter how many times he so playfuly admits: ``Maybe I shouldnt stir up ylh so much either``

nasah,
{{First hamidm now tahmed -- when are you going to act like a mature bright guy?}}
Welcome to our club, my good man! We are a growing list of middle aged men, who are deluded enough to think we can reform that lil fart.
Y`see anybody who disagrees with him is an enemy, senile, a fool ,a liar & needs to be fought...esp for the good name of Jinnah..or Pakistan..
Maybe we should leave him in the capable paws of our mashoor Pakistani shernis. They can swat & hiss at him very well. He sorely needs it. Whats even more fun is that his twin brother Saxena also starts siding with him, when they are eating him for lunch. Then BOTH get their eyes gouged out:)

``what the heck is that``
aah you feign ignorance, but get caught in the latter part of the post:)

before I became a janitorial shrink, believe it or not,I went to med school to become a real doctor. Thats why I know about ``it``. Besides, its such an ubiquitus problem--even dental students should know about it:)

Yes it is! Especially when those poor guys are scolded by Mother Teresa & ylh! I cant bring myself to cover my eyes when I read your posts, m`dear..
Word on the ``medical street`` is that its very prevalent in nuns too..esp, the Mother Teresa types:)

Dear YLH:
Did you have to write this -- ``tahmed,Go to hell, you senile fool`` -- this is pretty nasty.
First hamidm now tahmed -- when are you going to act like a mature bright guy?
Granted sometimes t gets too teed off for no apparent reason -- also does not make sense at times -- but then at times we ALL do that -- that doesn`t mean you have to indulge in verbal violence against him -- does it?
Take it easy young man -- we all like you -- and t does too.

Shammi #179 Thanks for the welcome back. They did have internet connections, but there were two problems (a) they charged $8/minute, which imho is larceny (b) chowk time was now competing with better half, shore excursions, ship activities (as opposed to email and msword), and chowk time lost (I assume chowk staff will overlook this betrayal).
On ylh`s name calling: ``Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me``. Actually, it was nice to see so many chowk people begging to differ with ylh on self being a form of lowlife. Maybe I shouldnt stir up ylh so much either, but he provides such a tempting target...

shankar bhai #144, ``I mean..forget gender..even if a stray dog wandered into Chowk & took an innocent pee on the lampost, you would probably give it a scolding..you bully..``
that`s not true :(
``Maybe you should stuff your ears with cotton whenever you see binifer`s & my posts...``
maybe you should close your eyes when you see my posts so you wouldn`t have to waste time fretting over what makes me tick.
``but while your doing that..just in case you happen to take a whiff of your thumb..I`ll bet it`d smell like Preparation H.``
