Hayat #314 Admit it. ``Hypocrite carrying the brand name of famous hotel chain of the whites..`` is one funny line and give Shah thanks for brightening up chowk with some real humor.
As for Chomsky: he says some smart things and some not so smart things - on the latter, he thinks for example that the Khmer Rouge were some kind of a noble peasant`s movement (I see 500,000 skulls of Cambodians who were killed under him, shaking their heads in disagreement with Chomsky). Of course, it is unfashionable for third world intellectuals to disagree with Chomsky, right??

My slow friend Shah
I know you are desperately trying to tell the world that you know the meaning of a paltry word like chutzpah. Next, If I am not entireley mistaken this abcd would be trying to tell us his Verbal score on his SAT. So much for his intellectual sobriety!
Shah also wrote :``Its hebrew & in America b/c of 6 million jews influence ,they have added many of there lingua Franca ,jewish talk into general stream``
Surely a selfproclaimed intellectuial giant such as yoursefl, meant to write ``their`` instead of there. I would concentrate on taking some remedmial English than to dabble in other romance languages, if I were you, given your previous foray into unchartered territories of quintessential English, namely the witty humour category.(which backfired so conspicuosuly).
Shah no doubt suffering from an inevitable penis envy syndrome, continued with :``What else was INCOPREHENSIVE to your pea brain of some univ in west coast? .Remember real Scholars are made in the East... Yale Princeton,Mit & Harvard. You are NOTHING man NOTHING``
What is INCOPREHENSIVE. Given his dubious claims of scholarship, I ventured so forth to check this ``word`` in my trusted Oxford Dictionary. Surely the Lord of Nothingness did not use the word in vain.
Shah`s above diatribe hardly proves his claims about his language ability and his assertion that Real Scholars are made in the East. However, for the more discerning amongst us, it does highlight his thinking and arguing prowess. At the very least, unlike that hypcorite par excellence, Tahmed who makes assertions and then runs away and hides behind his Mommmy`s aprons and then starts his puerile namecalling, this Shah fellow, nincompoop that he undeniably is, admits that the top most Universities might have something to do with scholarship and enterprise.
If only Shah can get past his own limitations at explaining his own ruddy writings,(perhapas after his remddial English classes), he might well become proficient enough to teach English at the Kindergarten level. Sadly, It might already be too late.
Final word of advise : Avoid using that non-existent wit of yours. You may dislodge that foot from your mouth now that you have made a spectacle of yourself, and crawl back under the very rock that you emerged from.
Good day!

``Kauravas were cloned, says scientist
PTI [ SATURDAY, MAY 04, 2002 5:10:27 PM ]
HYDERABAD: The science of cloning and test-tube baby was known to Indians of Mahabharata age (3000 BC), according to a scientist who told a conference on stem cell research here on Saturday that the Kauravas ``were products of a technology that modern science has not even developed yet``.
The epic Mahabharata describes Gandhari as a mother of 100 sons who were called Kauravas, the eldest of them being Dhuryodhana.
``No woman can give birth to 100 children in her lifetime, that too all males and of the same age,`` B G Matapurkar, a surgeon with the Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi told the conference organised by the southern chapter of the All India Biotech Association.
Matapurkar, who holds a US patent on organ regeneration technique that he developed 10 years ago, said that he was thrilled when he stumbled on a verse in Mahabharata under the chapter Adiparva that actually describes how the Kauravas were created from a single embryo from Gandhari.
He said that according to the description in Mahabharata, the Kauravas were created by splitting the single embryo into 100 parts and growing each part in a separate kund or container.
``In other words,`` Matapurkar said, ``they not only knew about test-tube babies and embryo spliting but also had the technology to grow human foetuses outside the body of a woman-someting that is not known to modern science,`` he aded.``.

Jay,
No actually PAF is not great.. and I`ll tell you why.. because I was presenting PAF`s kills against IAF as the proof for its `greatness`.
But your remarkable pilots and their precision in landing their planes on Banks in their country`s capital never ceases to amaze me...
IAF is GREAT!

I can only offer your my sincerest commiseration for your lack of a fine sense of humour. But you started to dismatle the term ``lingua incoherenta``, which was obviouslt termed for creating a humorous effect. That shows that your level of understanding humour, has sadly not passed beyong the very basics.
On a more serious note:
Long scorned for their anti-state views, it is people like Said and Chomsky
who make this nation great. Standing tall in their personal crusade against
oppression, and exposing hitherto hidden agendae of the powerful, and more
precisely in the face of increasing adversity, these modern day truth-sayers
are far outnumbered by the popular media commentators, who it would seem
have lost all compassion and respect for their profession; the word
equitability has been reduced to ashes in the context of ``objective/factual``
reporting. The spin is what matters, not the original content. Shame!

RSaxena,
Well said. I for one will salute Musharraf for getting more than 100% votes (in the recently concluded sham referendum) in Gujranwala district. A rare feat indeed!

glib,
A good post. I have tried not to fall into `Us versus Them` debate, especially when it concerns Airforce, my military knowledge being very limited. But i always wondered why PAF never scrambled to help Paki soldiers in Kargil when the latter were getting pounded by IAF?
Of course, Rooh Afza theory may be a good starting point. Do you know of any other?

re: Caste is in mind
Looks like this regressive retard is licking Pakistani A$$. And he cannot find anything better tasting that the rear end of Chowk`s clown. Keep at it retard. May be this will give you real enlightenment and make you understand the world better.
I want to expand on the theme that caste is in the minds of people and that is where all the battles need to be fought. In this respect, i have a story to tell. A real story that i witnessed. Here goes:
This was when our family lived in Delhi. My dad worked in the Ministry of commerce. His immediate superior ranking officer was also a Tamilian. As my dad came to know this man (we shall call him Mr R), he learned that Mr R belonged to a caste called Pallan (in the old days, people belonging to this caste were manual labourers). Mr R. was a very poor as a student and we learnt from him that he was often helped by a brahmin teacher in school. The latter helped him study and often paid his tuition fee. Mr R. rose to the present position by hard work. We also learnt that he had an elder sister who was an IAS officer. This lady married a man of her choice. Nothing wrong in that. But Mr R was sad that his wife would not allow his sister and the guy she married (we will call this genleman Mr K)into her house. Reason? Mr K belonged to a caste called Pariah (in the old days, perhaps even today, Pariahs did menial jobs like cleaning toilets and carrying excreta for disposal). Mrs R considered it beneath her dignity to allow a Pariah into her house.
The story does not end here. One day Mr K had to visit Delhi in an official capacity (he was otherwise stationed in Madras). Where else would he think of going but his brother-in law`s house? As he landed in Mr R`s house with bag and baggage, Mrs R would not even let this man into her house. Mr R was in a big jam. He could think of only one solution. He told Mr K that he knew of one good friend in whose house he would be welcome. He could stay there until his work in Delhi was done. So, Mr K ended up living with us for a few days. As topic turned towards caste, Mr K wondered how narrow minded some people could be.
Even today, Mr K is a good friend of my dad. My dad is long retired but whenever he needed help, we know Mr K is always there. Hope the retard reads this post and learns something.

PS Nice latin phrase ``lingua incoherenta``, except the second word seems to have been your own contribution to the latin language. If you keep cooking up latin phrases, I am afraid I will have to declare you, ipso facto, to be in culpa versari and in fact a sui generis in need of becoming tabula rasa before you may be considered qualified to post on chowk.

``The irony for the 14 squadron was that it was the same outfit that earned the nickname `Tailchoppers` by wreaking havoc on IAF planes on the ground outside Calcutta in 1965. ``
The airfield was Kalaikonda near Kharagpur. And indeed it was a very effective raid. Hats off to whoever thought it up!

PAKISTANI DELUSIONS
We have YLH again, PAF is great, because chuck yaeger said so, some other american said so. How about losing three wars, does it matter.
Jinnah is great, Wolpert a prof at prinston said so, and of course Ayesha Jala. How about the cesspoll of a country he left behind. Has he given any lasting ideas to the world, any book, any articulation of concepts of human interest. Zilch. Does it matter.
YLH is the typical pakistani, in him one can see the essence of pakistani mindset.
