Afraid Ialsoran Khan can only claim to have been the inspiration for the Lankan hospital, a casual look at devlopment indicators for Lanka would show how far behind the the ``land of believers`` is is not to mention other SAsian nations. This despite years of turmoil in the emerald isle of SAsia.

If only wishes were horses...
Fifty four years of wishing and Israel is stronger than before. Fifty four years of claiming that God was on the side of terrorists and terror is on the run around the globe, trophy-wives notwithstanding.
Have some integrity and quote Jemima Khan to represent Jewry when you agree to let Salman Rushdie to speak for Muslims.
Israel was, is and will be. With the re-establishment of Israel in 1948, the diaspora resulting from the Babylonian occupation was reversed. And a united Jerusalem is the ancient and eternal capital of Israel.

``...families of shaheeds...``
Let us not forget what President Bush said: murderers are not martyrs.
I am all for the unalienable right to self determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. But those who deliberately kill civillians, throw acid on unveiled women, and blow up secretariats and legislatures are not shaheeds. They are simple criminals. India, as the administrative power in a disputed region, not only has a right but a solemn duty to crush these elements with no mercy. Pakistanis and others, individuals and organizations, that support such terrorists are entirely fair game for India and the civilized community.

nice article, i do agree that western policies towards muslim nations has not been fair. but however it is upto muslims to build strong muslim nations, fair societies. it is up to muslims to improve their state, muslims should not expect others to come to their help. why has israel won all the wars against combined arab armies? reason being when israelis were building strong nation muslims were drinking coffee. so our main effort must be to build strong communities, nations and stop complaining about historical injustices.
frankly speaking in world affairs might is right. until and unless we have strong muslim nations with a say in world affairs muslims will continue to be oppressed. It will take decades of planning and hard work to achieve that.

shah 49,
It is well known that most of the charity organisations in pakistan give special treatment to the families of shaheeds, the jihadists killed in kashmir. For many this provides them with some income in a country where the only increasing occupation is begging. Interestingly, the beggers are being chased out of the cities to remove the eye sore for the rich.

``The
Arab force along with a Bosnian Muslim army of some 3000 soldiers, ...``
That must be the only time in recent recorded history that Arabs have beaten anyone in battle. Please...these bedouins cannot even shoot straight. The few victories that Bosnia`s multi-ethnic government had was due to the perserverance of its people, the tenacity(and numbers) of its ill equipped army, and a lot of help on the side from Turkey. All that the Arabs and Iranians( and some Afghans and Pakistanis) did was to bring the wrath of otherwise friendly US and Israel while conveniently trying to pick up on destitute Bosnian women. Sick, perverted, fanatical s.o.bs who should have been handed to the Serbs forthwith. What the Indians do to these jehadi animals in Kashmir is quite mild. Killing in battle by shooting. Maybe more of the Gurkha regiments are needed in Indian-held Kashmir to make an example of these jehadi bros.

Thats the bias I was pointing out. How can the Pakistani elite and the Pakistani Army support/justify rigged elections/referendums in Pakistan and act outraged about them in J&K?

``I just wonder what would have happened if the referendum (rigged or otherwise) had been held in Indian J&K.``
If the result of 50 years of rigged elections in Indian oppressed Kashmir doesn`t answer your question then what does?

I just wonder what would have happened if the referendum (rigged or otherwise) had been held in Indian J&K. Is there is anti-nonMuslim-country bias in the Pakistani Army brass and elite in these matters?
