``Hindus however, shook their behinds, as enticingly as they could, in their mind, but actually like a cheap randdi (prostitute) to push US to declare Pak as such. But ugly butts failed.``
Satyavachan. Cheap Hindu/Indian randi failed because a cheaper Pakistani Randi was right next door. Kya karen, this is what happens when you walk the streets in a bad neighbourhood.

it`s no secret that Muslims have been `wronged` by the West,,, but judging from the general lack of education and effective leadership in Muslim countries, we had it coming. the Middle East is a wasteland, so much money and power totally wasted by the self absorbed rulers of that land.
as for Pakistan, we should focus on fixing our internal problems instead of crying hoarse about Western injustices.
the cold blooded attacks on people of the Shia sect of Islam in Pakistan is shameful. how can we expect to fight for wronged Muslims, when we can`t fight our own demons.

Mr Usman,
The descendants of Isaac want a tiny sliver of land in the Middle East & the descendants of Ishmael resent it so? I mean how big is Israel? Compared to the landmass of the entire ``Muslim World`` it is perhaps only the teeniest of sliver! And the Muslim world is so selfish that it cannot coexist with the Jews with the slightest bit of generosity that it is so famous for?
Yes the Holy land has a huge religious, emotional & sentimental value to Muslims. But doesnt your great religion teach you to share & be just? It has the same value to Jews & Christians too. That land belonged to Jews long long before Christianity & Islam even came into existence.
So your analogy of ``outsiders`` taking over your home isnt exactly accurate. Historically, Jews arent ``outsiders`` in what is Isreal today. If native American Indians wanted a bit of land in the US that their forefathers lived in, they have as much right--morally & legally, IMO.
Its only recently that some moderate muslims are recognising the right of Israel to exist. Up until a few decades ago, even the existence of the state of Israel was an ananthema to the Muslim world.
Historically, how tolerant has the Islamic world been to other religions? Why did the Parsis leave Persia? Look where the Parsis are today in India, Pakistan & England. When given half a chance they have risen to the pinnacle of society. Do you have any idea how Zohrastrians live in today`s Iran? Do you care to acknowlege how the Bahais are treated in Iran? Is there even a murmur of protest in the conscience of the Muslim world about how they are hounded & persecuted?!
Seems to me Muslims are so caught up in feeling sorry for themselves that they dont want to step back & even reflect why the rest of the non-Islamic world resents them! EVERY single civilisation that has come into contact with the Muslim world have fought with them & continues to fight with them. Y`see its the Muslims that are proclaiming ``jehad`` on everybody else. So if you want a jehad, youre gonna get one.
Dont get me wrong...I`m NOT saying Muslims are always to blame. Yes, they are getting the short end of the stick. However, the Muslim world, as a whole, is displacing their frustrations on the Non-Islamic world.
I think its high time that the Muslim world should ask ``why anti-Islamic sentiment exists in the non-Islamic world``. Please reflect on the following:
a) The leadership of the Islamic world is authoritarian & abuses the human rights of their own Muslim citizens. However, Muslims dont have the courage to fight their own leadership. Its more ``politically correct`` to blame the non-Islamic world.
b) The is NO protest by the Muslim citizens in Egypt or Pakistan when BILLIONS of US dollars flows into their coffers. How come?! Has a SINGLE Pakistani demonstrated on the streets that Mushy should NOT accept US aid?!
Are you so NAIEVE that you feel that you have a right to get a ``free lunch`` from the US?! If you do America`s bidding, you get paid handsomely for it. You dont learn from your own history of US-Pak relations! You STILL wave the tin can when you go to Washington!...like its your frikking birthright!
US will reward ANY country that supports its foreign policy, with MONEY. Pakistan knows it, Egypt knows it, the rest of the world knows it. Just because its not said openly doesnt mean its a secret. Yet you CONTINUE to do it! Now whose FAULT is it? Pakistan`s or the US`s?!
If Pakistan or the ``Muslim World`` acts like a whore, it shouldnt complain that its treated like one! Ofcourse its more convenient to blame the US than yourselves!
Mian Urstruly,
ThankGod Pakistan`s butt is cuter than the Hindu butt. Thats why America likes to ram it again & again! You DESREVE to be treated like a whore, esp when you take such great pains to act like one! They sure as heck LOVE your butt. Is it their fault that they dont respect it?!
So, you great warriors of Allah..you Chosen people...fight an internal jehad FIRST, then fight your jehad with others. Maybe THEN Allah will reward you with a victory.
Until then you will continue to get your butt rammed & whipped alternatively. Ofcourse, you will continue to feel sorry for yourselves & fight a pathetic terrorist war against everybody else & continue to get your butt whipped.
You can be sure the rest of the world will play a violin when you wail to Allah for such injustice.

There is anti-American sentiment in Japan, South Korea, China, India, Russia, Latin America and Western Europe. I am not sure why anti-American sentiment among Muslims have to be treated seperately.
The Arab Caliphate ended 700 years ago long before even the West started it ascent. Let us face it. It is foolish to blame the demise upon the West. As far as Turkish Caliphate goes the Turks are in no mood to revive it.
Blaming the West for the Afghan war, Iran-Iraq war, Saddam`s invasion of Kuwait is silly. The West especially USA deserve flak for support of Israel and support to non-democratic Arab/Muslim regimes. Keep in mind some posters like Romair have no problems with military dictators. I can`t help you on that.
Keep in mind there is no grouping of Christian, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Hindu or Buddhist countries. Muslim countries are the only ones who want to maintain the fiction of Islamic brotherhood in politics.
As far as US aid to Pakistan don`t blame Uncle Sam if Pakistani generals or politicians squander away the money. You should ask Mushy to account for the $600 million obtained for the second Afghan war.

The article is another apoligia for Islamist obscurantism parading as victimized civilization.
``I wait to hear England being referred to as ‘England, the Christian country’. This does not only pertain to identifying countries but also any act conducted by a Muslim.``
You will wait a long time. See, England guarantess and practises the right of religious freedom for everyone; Muslim countries, as a rule(with exceptions) do not do that.
`` If a Muslim kills someone he is automatically a ‘Muslim’ murderer or ‘Muslim’ terrorist. Did anyone ask the media why Timothy Mcveigh was not referred to as a ‘Christian’ terrorist when he masterminded the bombing in Oklahoma?``
Generally Muslim terrorists kill in the name of their God; McVeigh did not such thing. He was just a plain killer.Hence the distinction.
``The media portrays the Muslim world as backward, fanatical, terrorist and a male dominated society where women are suppressed and have to wear a hijab .``
Because it is.
`` The media rarely ever tries to not have an ethnocentric view about Muslims.``
Is anybody stopping a Muslim media?
`` It is just as difficult for a Muslim to understand why there is a strip club in every town in America as it is for Americans to understand the concept of Hijab (veiling).``
One of the most sophomoric statements in the article. Key difference is that Americans don`t force strip clubs in every town while... you get the idea.
Islam and Muslims get a bad rap these days because they have kept silent as extremist have hijacked their religion. I don`t have too much sympathy for them in that sense. As Edmund Burke said, all that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to say nothing.

Anti-Semitism Is Deepening Among Muslims
By SUSAN SACHS
Stay in a five-star hotel anywhere from Jordan to Iran, and you can buy the infamous forgery ``Protocols of the Elders of Zion.`` Pick up a newspaper in any part of the Arab world and you regularly see a swastika superimposed on the Israeli flag.
Such anti-Semitic imagery is now embedded in the mainstream discourse concerning Jews in much of the Islamic world, in the popular press and in academic journals.
The depictions are not limited to countries that are at war with Israel but can be found in general-interest publications in Egypt and Jordan, the two countries that have signed peace agreements with Israel, as well as in independent religious schools in Pakistan and Southeast Asia.

Re: Mian Usman
First of all, welcome to Chowk!
The Arab/Muslim resentment against the United States and west being blamed on the crusades is a flawed statement. Secondly, it is wrong to label the United States and the west as a single monolith, which is against Islam. This is the same fallacy, which blinds the non-Muslim world to the different shades of opinion, within the Islamic world itself.
Furthermore, the term ``west`` is an economic-political term created during the cold war to make the distinction between the Soviet bloc and the capitalist nations of western Europe. It is not a religious term and should not be confused as one.
Also, Arab resentment against the United States is not the result of the crusades, but the slavish appeasement of the Arab governments to the United States` political and economic interests. Arab governments are resented by their citizens, because they are autocratic and represent their own interests and not those of their citizens.
Arab governments need the patronage of the United States to maintain their power and for this reason, they cannot irk the United States. The United States` military presence in the Arab lands is to maintain the Arab governments in power and if the United States withdraws its support, who will protect the Arab governments, when there is a popular revolt against them?
Why is the IV Brigade of the Pakistani Special Services Group dedicated to the protection of the Saudi Royal monarchy, for example? If the Saudi royal family is so well loved internally, why does it not ask its own armed forces and its own citizens for protection?
The problems in the Islamic world will not be cured by blaming the Americans, the west and Israelis. They will be solved, when the Muslims hold themselves accountable for their own misdeeds and do something, rather than issuing fatwas, in order to address their problems in a realistic and determined manner.
Usman, you can blame the west, the United States and Israel for Muslim`s levels of resentment and at the end of the day, your problems will still be your problems and you would have doing nothing to solve them, but waste your day away needlessly!
Ciao

Why Anti-American Sentiments Exist in The Muslim World?
Duh! The fact remains that the Arb world is ina insignificant crosss ection of the wold community that has no power despite the oil, and it is not willling to change its status quo of keeping its populace hungry, devoid of opportunity, and ignoring Economical environments by forcing its young to memorise the Quran and make US flgs sepcifically for burning purposes while CNN films their momemnt of glory. Need, I say more
In order to change their destiny, they need to yank themlseves form their bootstraps. Unfortunately, to do that they have to bend over and therefore are subject to being buggered by the next Mulsim brother standing close to him, metaphorically speaking. Regarding the Arabs organizational skills, an arabic friend of mine observed,..`` Thye are so hopeless they cannot arrange a pissup in a brewery in France``

The clear vsison of their own inadequacy to deal with IDEAS of the enlightenment, modern, science, and technology and above all criticism - are the core of Anti-Americanism and Anti-Westernism - The power of America and the West, the ability to translate it`s will into effective action, to be able to shape the world, the environment, to it`s will - is a source of fascination and admiration and of fear, guilt and envy, and shame for most Muslims. How often we now hear Muslims say of non-Muslims, that the non-Muslim is ``more Muslim than us``?
Only brutal honesty within Islamia, honest discussion, debate about it`s resistance to ideas, the hold of obscuritanist on intellectual activity, the surrender to evil psychology of victimization and demonization, the role of LIBERTY, of ideas and possiblities and above all else and in light of these discussions, to ask boldly, loudly, ``What does it mean to be a Muslim``? Can one be a Muslim without LIBERTY? Can one be a Muslim without the freedom of conscience? Can one be a Muslim and live in a fundamentally unjust, unequal society? Can one be a Muslim, but not know to read and write? can one be a Muslim without being ``faithful``? Can one be a Muslim and not take action but rather be critical of others ability to do so?

Mian Sahib, welcome to CHOWK!
Before we jump to the conclusion that
Muslims have been, are and will be targets of the West, let us start by admitting that Muslims have been and are targets of other Muslims.
Until and unless the common Muslim walking down the streets of Cairo, Damascus, Karachi and/or
Dhaka, is happy where he is and quits dreaming of getting to the United States or Western Europe,
this blame game, although a good distraction. is not going to help.
Some of the best and brightest minds from Muslim countries are employed in the West. These are the same people who would have difficulty getting past a clerk at a Government office in many the Muslim countries. I wonder why that happens?
Anyway just some thoughts..

Mian Sahib well done. I think it pretty much sums up everything. One very important aspect that you forgot to elaborate upon is the puppet factor. Most of the Muslim countries today, have rulers who are helpless puppets in the hands of Westerns. From Arab Emirates to Saudia to Jordan, to Syria to Tunis, to Marakesh and Iraq (Takreeti) are all family dynasties duly supported by west who crush any and all political dissent by brutal oppression. The Islamic republics such as Pakistan, Egypt, Algeria, have puppets who have their roots in military dynasties; they oppress political dissent with same brutal oppression. And instead of befriending people who are pro-democracy, west protects, promotes, aids and abets these puppets; and yet accuses Muslim World that they hate democracy.
I found the following to be slightly inaccurate:
``This led to negative sentiments and a sense of betrayal amongst the Pakistani public and six Americans were ambushed and killed in Karachi, Pakistan. In less than two years, once allied and helpful America, stopped aid for Pakistan and the media and US government changed the title of ‘most allied nation’ to ‘Islamic terrorist nation.’"
During Afghan war, CIA was upto its teeth in drugs business from Pak-Afghan border, to finance its adventures in Afghanistan. The killing of six CIA agents is attributed as a drug hit and not an outcome of the resentment. And I think US kept its options open (to deal with China & Iran at appropriate time) by NOT declaring Pak an ‘Islamic terrorist nation.’ I found this was a descripancy. Hindus however, shook their behinds, as enticingly as they could, in their mind, but actually like a cheap randdi (prostitute) to push US to declare Pak as such. But ugly butts failed.
