The fact that it`s the families coming together in a traditional marriage as Jai said, and strong social pressures against it, have kept divorce rates low. The relative rarity of divorces has nothing to do with the arrangedness per se and the situation is changing as women are getting good jobs and can support themselves should the marriage not work out. They aren`t willing to put up with the extraordinary demands of traditional families any more.

Modi, Advani etc have remnants of jihadic gene transmitted from the rape and pillage by the pakistani role models like Gaznavi Lodhi etc. and the imapct of the tradition of arrange marriage have been ecclipsed. In most of norther india one can decern the jihadic strain. Actions of the sikh during khalistan movement was identicla to that of jihadists and the slaughter of 10,000 sikhs in response to killing of indira gandhi is another example. In delhi one cannot see any femal on the scooters, the men chase them while in south india where the jihadic strain has failed to reach women ride freely. Bride brning, mureders and other social eveil statistic of north is far to closer to that of pakistan than that of south india.

In essence, my hypothesis of the arranged marriage impact is only reinforced by the examples of modi and advani. In the case of pakistan, again the arranged marriage system only reinforces the jihadic values, a prime example is the idea of oncountables, accepted by the illiterate and the educated. You are always realing out statsitic of kasmiris killed, but the uncountables abviously by definition cannot enter statsitics. I pressume you are an educated or at least an schooled pakistani.

When a Muslim man marries a non Muslim woman, how many times have you seen the man become genuinely interested in the religion of the other and convert unless his eyes had opened before the marriage?

Marriage between a Muslim man and a non Muslim man is just a way for the Muslim man to convert the woman to his religion. Exceptions are rare. I don`t know if Drumz is one. In most cases, sooner of later the woman takes a muslim name, prays five times a day, and dutifully produces a litter of fanatics who grow up to badmouth her own religion.
