Sadna #113,
Don`t get angry with this old man. He is a candidate for compassion, medical attention and our prayers.
I can respond in kind and disclose that what Ahmek wrote in #112 is really what his dad told him about his birth before he died recently. But I won`t do that as old guy is still in shock and it would be unkind to do that. This person really needs psychiatric help.
This old man is living in a house of delusions where he believe that it is his birthright to deride every other interactor. He believes that if other interactors dare to disagree, they are ``scum``, ``low lifes``, ``of lower castes`` and ``of lower upbringing``.
What I am doing to Ahmek is for his own benefit and for pure altruistic reasons. He needs taste of his own medicine to bring him out of his asylum.
I am sure that finally Ahmek will appreciate my efforts to help him.

The only thing that I have read on this issue is that the Hindu parties, like the Muslim League, also did not support the Congress bycott of the war effort.

Hope to meet you in the street some day - not being a hypocrite and coward like you I will tell you about your mother when we meet face to face.

friend #111 Since you insist, I guess I have to break the secret to you: You see, your mom has not been honest with you all these years: I am NOT your old man.
This is what happened: It was a dark and stormy night. I heard a knock at the gate. The chowkidar (we affectionately called him ``chotta``) opened it, and in came your mom. She was all wet (just like the bollywood movies) and shivering, and next thing I knew she fell on her knees...she begged and she pleaded...she said she did not wish to go through life producing any more of these miserable skinny, shi!itty little specimen that constituted her family...she wanted to have a child who would represent an improvement in her race...she begged and pleaded and I took pity...I told her to go lie down and while while I considered her request....I was puzzled...I wanted to help but...to be honest, your mom was simply to ugly...then I had an idea...chotta!!...we had caught him screwing the neighbor`s chicken the other day, and knew he would screw anything...so long story short, my little friend, it wasnt me...it was chhotta (or ``old man`` to you)!!
Now I really must beg leave...you are a charming fellow but I really wont be able to respond to your posts any more.
PS: Incidentally, chhotta was really mad at me the next day for breaking his date with the neighbor`s chicken in order to favor your mom. He told me that he had received better fu!cks from dead chicken than the day he conceived you.

dost mittar #108 It is possible his alliance with the axis powers was one of convenience and not ideology. It is true that he was the elected president of the Indian National Congress as well, and certainly the party he founded operates within a democratic framework. However, it is also true that his break up with Gandhi was due to Bose`s rejection of the principle of non-violence. Based on all of this, I think it is not possible with certainty to say that he demonstrated fascist tendencies or not - after all Hitler too came to power within a democratic framework, and coversely democracy came to the US after a violent struggle.
However: if the Axis powers had won - which is what Bose was counting on - then is there any possibility other than his becoming a Quisling? Would the Japanese (and Germans too, against whose thrusts British preparations are even now to be seen near the Pak Afghan border in terms of tank barriers) have stood by idly and allowed Bose to become too big for his boots? I dont think so - unlike the Brits, the japanese would have ruled India with an iron fist and unlike the British would have suppressed any thoughts of freedom by unleashing their air force and army the same way they did in China.
So rest assured - regardless of his intentions, if Bose had succeeded the rest of us were doomed. He would have had no choice but to be a fascist puppet. That is the point I am making.
BTW: I think the Indian Congress screwed up with the Quit India movement too - while I have not seen it discussed anywhere, I have no doubt that in their hearts many Brits were turned off by what they no doubt felt was a stab in their back at a time they were engaged in an existential struggle. Would they have been amenable to the formation of Pakistan if the Quit India movement had not taken place?? I wonder. Any thoughts??

tahmed:
Apart for his seeking support from the Axis powers, do you have any other basis of saying that Bose was fascist? I do not seem to have seen anything resembling fascism from his Forward Bloc (the party he founded) comrades who are still part of the ruling Left coalition in West Bengal.

it might be hard to understand, but i really believe that education and health-care is a citizen`s right and therefore it is the governments`s responsibility to provide both......... in a civilized society it is everyone`s responsibility to make sure that all have access to a decent education and health care ..........
Hey what happened to capitalist argument. If people earn enough they should be able to pay for both health as well as education.
and why stop at education or health ? if not then why critize other countries. In case you dont suppourt that criticizim then why I have never seen you come out against it.
