And preachers in all religions terrorize the ordinary folks in the name of God.

My humble request to India. Please do not go the way Pakistan went on the religion issue. You have an example as to what a radicalized religion can do to a country.

Farzana, I`m not sure what exactly you`re advocating that muslims do. I do agree with you that the decision by the lucknow HC is biased & bad. It shifts the standards to some historical proof. By this standard, we should take away land granted to harimau`s great great grand father by some 2-bit raja - land denied to the peasant working it. We should may be return all the land to the adivasis.

Bukhari should be tried for treason. I remeber him inciting a protest against the US before the US bombed the crap out of the Talipigs. This Bukhari dude knows very well that Taliban trained Jehadis in camps to kill Indian soldiers. As far as Sai Baba is concerned he is a fraud. Having said that he belongs to the majority community...that is why the greater importance as cmpared to Bukhari.

If you want Islamic leaders to have the same importance as others consider moving to Pakistan. BTW they are not very fond of Mohajirs either.

Do they have the exact same political needs? They are not in a majority anywhere except the Kashmir valley so building a political identity based on religion alone will be counter productive.

If you were the spokesperson for all 183 Million Muslims, what direction would you give to them?
