Very Interesting observation. I believe it has some kernels of truth, that Muslim = mutant.
I know Hindus who would tell me ``I do not believe that God Exists`` and they will still be Hindus.
I know Christians who would tell me ``I do not believe that God Exists`` and they will still be Christians.
I know Jews who would tell me ``I do not believe that God Exists`` and they will still be Jews.
I only know one Muslim who mocked the prophet in his writing and finally he has taken refuge in America.

With the overwhelming expansion/encroachment of technology in daily life, Americans are headed for an assimilated melting pot of people. The individual immigrant maintains his ethnicity for a while, but his children will dissolve into the melting pot of Sex and Money. As far as I am concerned if that makes the Americans happy let them be happy.
American society will not allow the hypocrisy of the church competing with the hypocrisy of the state. It is in their CONSTITUTION. Church and State are separate, State being the dominant of the two. If there would ever be any church, be it Muslim, Hindu, Christian, Jewish - who will come in conflict with America, they will face the same difficulty as the Muslims are facing today.

A Muslim would never dare to tell ``I do not believe that God Exists``, in the fear - that Imams, Maulavis, Mullahs will issue fatwahs to assassinate him. Islam in America must change else it will be persecuted by the state. History repeats itself. Early settlers were people who came to America to avoid Religious Persecution by the State. America will not allow any single Religion to threaten the existence of the US GOVERNMENT.

With the changes in technologies in the horizon over the next 5 to 20 years - Nanotechnology, ``Human Brain Mapping``, ``Genetic Engineering``, ``Body Parts Transplants`` etc., the role of the clergy will diminish. The clergy in each religion was using the Members` fear to ride on a POWER TRIP. People will eventually catch on their HOAX.

Is the mutation of the public mind post 9/11 justified? Maybe!

But while we are critical of the reaction, Muslims need to be more

critical of the violently mutated minds amongst us.

........ and then there are mutants like tahmed who think that they can assimilate by volunteering at a soup kitchen on a sunday ............they think that a few of their women in headjobs can dole out chicken noodle and convince the humans that they mean no harm ..........they refuse to believe that the majority of the mutants are followers (or quite admirers) of magneto.......... the professor is a lonely voice among the ummites .............

Hamidm: Here is a hint why the focus is on muslim religious nuts rather than religious nuts of other kinds: 9/11. The amish are a peaceful people, hare-krishnas in the US are a peaceful people (unlike the hindutvas of India, but then the hindutvas of India have so far attacked muslims and christians within India only and so have no profile outside India). Indeed, the only people other than muslims who have come under scrutiny are the home grown christian cults (as in Waco and Utah or someplace).
Arabs have been committing terrorism for about three decades now - long before 9/11 they hijacked planes and brutalized passengers. They can claim the are fighting for liberation all they want, but ends to not justify ``kkhooli chhooti`` on means. But many Arabs (like many of our own Pakistanis) are too primitive in their mindset nowadays to understand that.

Arian sahib: Complaining isnt going to get the muslims in the US anywhere. They need to reach out in a positive way to the broader community of the country they live in. And I am glad many pakistanis are doing exactly that. These things include:
a. Organize pakistani women to go and visit shelters for abused women in the US. My own sister has organized such visits after convincing her pakistani friends that there are indeed people in the US much less fortunate than they are.
b. Promote interfaith discussions. Religious minded people should find a lot in common to talk about. If nothing else, there is good old God always there for them to sing praises about (just kidding here, but hope you see the point).
c. Volunteer on an individual basis: Go the the FreedomCorps website and you will find tons of places where you can do something for the community.
d. Participate in local elections.
e. So forth.

Mutations play significamt role in evolution. The cereals, grains and life evolved out of mutations. Mutations could be beneficial, benign or dangerous. Religions start as mutation backed by revelations and cognitions in middle east and collective wisdom in the east.

Mutations take place all the time around us at micro and macro levels. The mutation described in this article requires human carriers to spread, otherwise it is just leaves next to a goat. When a malignant mutation inflicts human mind, treatment requires preventive care - not to allow infliction on the first place - or a vaccine that replaces the malignant with a benign. The antibiotics do not work on the mutation of human thought process.

Hijab is part of the package of mutant mind because light of freedom can cause mutation of mutant mind with the danger for mutant to become benign. It is a permanent umbrella to ward off freedom drops raining on the head/ mind. The free thinking mind capitulates to mutation who is fear of freedom now and burn in hell weapon through indoctrination and becomes mutant.

Some mutants in modern free societies are just nuisances; others are deemed dangerous or potential rivals. When a mutant crosses a line of making their own laws, breaking laws and passing on judgements, society deals with equal and opposite response to begin with. Once it fails, overwhelming response is used to crush it. Rajnishis in Oregon and Aum Shaum Rikyo in Japan crossed the line and met their fate with force. Muslim mutants, much larger in numbers and potentially more lethal, had been crossing the line for a while but they crossed it big-time on 9/11/2001.

Muslim mutants are well accepted, sometime tacity approved within larger Muslim communities, even among the Muslims enjoying the fruit of developed western societies. Every Muslim congregation in USA has few very angry, some with the potential to be violent in support of their beliefs. some very Islamists, some fundamentalists, some orthodox literal exegesists, many hijab supporting but very few actually oppossing all these retrogressive tendencies. The congregation may not shelter all of these but often covertly or overtly sympathetic to varying degrees with Muslim unhappiness with the moral, cultural and politcal atmosphere of the west. They make no effort to marginalize these folks; some actually quietly admire their zeal for ``Islamic causes``. This indifference, quiet approval or careless handling comes back to haunt because it takes just few to act and turn the whole society against them. They do not do their homework and blame failure on no multiple choice questions and no cheating allowed.

Muslim mutants are noisy and exaggerate about the inherent godly goodness, superiority of their beliefs and unfair tratment by the west. The reality is far from truth. The profiling and interrogation has, in fact, limited to few thousands from a religious community of around 2 million people.

Wasn`t there some sort of a protest in the US because one of the Bad Guys was wearing a ring with Allah written on it in Arabic?

(Am I missing something? Has the Vatican complained because the freaky mutant was so hyperCatholic? No? If not, why not? And Magneto actually looks like a lot more fun than those other boring goody two shoes...why is he getting bad press? I know, I know, questions, questions...)

when we are bankrupt totally we borrow the idom of others. If problems within us need to be explained by reference to a western theme which has no parallel in our culture we are poor indeed.

.........what i don`t understand is why the humans are not going after the other mutants - the amish with their ridiculous beards and black hats, the annoying hare krishnas wrapped in bedsheets, the orthodox jews with their silly beanies and strings hanging from their pants, the horrible hindoos with heeng on their breath, the jehovah`s wiitnesses who want to give you free magazines, the insufferable mormons who run around on bikes in white shirts and black ties, and the bahais who want to love you to death.............. what makes the muslim mutants so different????? ......... why do the humans fear them so????? ........... why ?............ are the humans crazy, or is there someting ominous, something truly dangerous, something threatening about these mutants ?........... maybe, just maybe, the humans have a right to be scared .................
