R ape of common man, that Paki army had started in 1971, continues to this day.
Excerpts from the above Url:
1. {In that light, the Okara Farms dispute is ``a symbol of the resentment people feel about the army`s monopolization of power and resources,`` said Aasim Sajjad Akhtar, a Yale-educated economist and coordinator of the People`s Rights Movement, a non-profit group that has taken up the tenants` cause. ``They`ve become such a huge corporate empire in this country, and the land-grabbing is just one part of it.``}
2. (Among them was Bashir Ahmed, 65, who hobbled over on crutches to display the scar from a leg wound he said he suffered when Rangers opened fire on protesters in a neighboring village last summer. ``I`m a poor man, and I can`t pay the contract fee,`` said Ahmed, gaunt with a graying mustache. ``They shot us because we were protesting for our rights.``
As he lay in his hospital bed after he was wounded, Ahmed said, Rangers ``forcibly`` inked his thumb and made an impression on a rental agreement, which he has subsequently refused to honor.}

STRATEGIC DEPTH
Once again, comletely missed the pakistan relevance. At last it is beyond doubt that taliban were largely foreigners, primarily pakistanis, with the classic pak madrassa education. The americans chased and killed them and at last there is relative peace in afghanistan. Ferzok as usual did not dare to mention that the bhumian budhas could not have been destroyed with out the geneuine pak madrassa education. The entire strategic depth concept came following bangladesh and 95,000pows, the thought that the pak troops will have to move to the depths of sea, but would prefer the mountains of afghanistan.
Now it is strategic depth in reverse, the taliban and alquida are in pakistan to escape from the deoths of slaughter. That is the lesson for pakistan, a ideology based on TNT is not syustainable in the long run. The madrass version of the education with students streaming out ..kill..kill in tune with the TNt idea has to changed for pakistan to survive. The first step is ironically shown by MMA in NWFP by blackening the face of females on bill boards, but thsi time it has to be a picture in pak govt offices so that the stench of sherry will not ooze out at the dead of nights.

HHRehman:
``Greatness of a society is determined by how successfully it has integrated various segments of its population - through equitably ensuring civil rights to all of its citizens. ``
The above sentence is from the same article that you cut and pasted from below. Before dishing advise out to others learn to take it yourself.
If we are to take Pakistan`s example of ``integrating various segments`` it would mean the complete ethnic cleansing of Muslims from North India (geographical equivilant of Pakistan) Fact remains that India remains a pluralistic society, whereas Pakistani establishment and Pakistani ideology is racist (expounded by your own gora-kala comparisons) xenophobic, backward looking and ultimately evil. You have taken pangas with the Indians in the east and the Afghans in the west. Pakistan, if it continues in its present path, is on the wrong side of history.
However tempting it may be for us to follow suit as it some times seems we are, I hope to God we don`t.

Man, You are getting more pathetic with every post of yours. Do you know that?
But it is good to have you. You give us comic relief in this otherwise dull Chowkie life. I am not missing Madani guy anymore. He was the only other guy capable of giving comic relief on Chowk.
1 Paki soldier= 100 hindu soldier!
Then, what was the problem? Why did you guys get your A$$ fried in 1971 war?
It looks like the jehadi machine and madrassa indoctrination is working well in Pak. I used to wonder, when people like Arun Shourie wrote about education system in Pak and the kind of indoctrination that is going on, if this was not all BJP propaganda. Not anymore. I think Mr Shourie is right. You guys are in the dark. You need to come out of your hellhole and smell the SH!T around you.
Army`s misdoings in India are probed by parliament. Army in India is not a law unto itself. When Tehelka scam came out, Army ceased to be beyond reproach. The scam has resulted in more transparancy in purchase of defense deals, i think. If Army has been misleading about some terrorists in Kashmir (Hill Kaka case), then it will be investigated. That is why there is a parliament and a constitution.
Did you hear your ruler Mushy speak on T.V here the other day (soon after Camp David)? He was asked how many troops Pak would be ready to send. His answer was that it could be upto a division. Simple. No need to consult anyone. No need to have a discussion in your country as to what is right and what is wrong.
Some guy! Some Country!
And now you are quoting some lines from a book written by an atheist, scotch drinking Sardar who has one foot in grave! Get a life man.

``We encourage all to participate in discussions. All we ask you to be is civil. If your post includes words or masked references that are offensive, crude, repugnant, or obscene, your post will be duly deleted. We thank you for your participation.``
Extremely encouraging to see that these guidelines are not being enforced. On the other hand maybe there is nothing crude and offensive in the comments being posted here. Just another average chowk moment.....
..with all the bait being thrown about I see that 12 head is biting...

WOW, I am honestly moved by your Bull Sh*T story.
Let me tell you another story, I was returning from Pak, I am a US citizen,
so ofcourse I didn`t have any problems, behind me there was an Indian student
fresh off the boat, when he approached the Immigration officer, he was told to go in the
room reserved for new immigrants, when he came out after an hour I saw tears in his face,
I asked him what was wrong w/him he told me that they asked him to take off his clothes and then they shoved a baseball bat in his rear and didn`t even use a lubricant. GO FIGURE:)

to hrrehman:
I returned to the US recently after a vacation. Going thro immigration, all desis (and some malays) were taken to a separate room for detailed background checking.
Sitting next to me was a nervous young pakistani (asif). He mistook me for a pakistani and smiled with a salaam alekum and some urdu. We spoke briefly. I learnt he was from lahore visiting relatives in the US. He asked (in all seriousness) if I got my green card in the lottery!
His name was called and he went to the counter. Some sharp looks and questions were traded. Finally he was given a long form to fill-up which he carried full of embarrassment to a remote corner of the room.
Next I was called. The officer looked at my Indian passport, asked me my social number
and mother`s first name...and I was out in 15 seconds...with an apology too.
Forget kargil, forget 1971. Look at the present (and the future).
This is the fate of pakistanis today. The achievement of 2 generations.
Take care you don`t gift this to YOUR children.
