You like dhansak ? That is my favorite!!!! Mom gets the spices from Karachi, where real Bombay dhansak spices are sold. You got yourself a deal! Word of warning! We call our version of dhansak ``gun powder``. I hope you like spicy foods!
Thanks for trying and if nothing else, you still have a place at the dinner table.
Ciao

In a gruesome act, Pakistani militants on Friday beat a nine-year old girl to death and critically injured her 11-year-old sister in the Rajouri Hills area of Jammu and Kashmir.
A group of Harkat-ul-jehadi Islami (HuJI) militants entered the house of one Nisar Hussain in Khabala village.
Not finding him at home, they caught hold of his two daughters and beat them with their guns to extract information about their father, police sources said in Jammu.
Nazia (9), who received severe head injuries, died on the spot while Shareefa (11) was critically wounded.
The other villagers rushed Shareefa to hospital.

Sarwar at # 148:
`` Hatred of India springs from school texts in Pakistan ``
This a very good article you posted.
However, interesting thing to note is that its Pakistani curriculm that attempts to turn Pakistanis into anti-Indians and anti-Hindu lots, but actually its in India that the extremist Hindus kill Muslims and destroy their symbols of worship as a community. Even on Chowk there is an overwhelming majority of Indian posters who post anti-Pakistan and anti-Islam posts rather than Pakistanis doing the other way round.
So while its Pakistani curriculum that should have produced brain-washed Pakistanis, its in India that the brain-washed generation has actually come into being.
Would you care to explain this strange phenomena?

Yo, headshrinker. did you check out the scene at Altamont Road in Bombay; you know, your supposed schooldays haunt? By any chance, did you drive your Jag there?
Your living on the imaginary Altamont Road, your imaginary Jag, your imaginary Muslim sister-in-law, your imaginary profession as a psychiatrist, etc., plus your pathetic need to kiss Pakistani a$$ on Chowk. You need to get your head examined, man. Talk to Studebaker.

[ Some South Indians do know Hindi. I am not sure where harimau fits.]
I did say I would need a translator just like I would need one in Delhi.
On the other hand, my classmates in College have taught me all the bare necessities in Hindi (meaning, swear words).

Did you ask Behnaz`s husband for a reduced rate on a lobotomy? He should have been able to help you. Heck, you probably don`t even need surgery, just a strong enema!

Dear Pakistanis & bbabu,
{{One Harimau could visit Pakistan and come back alive}}
You could do the whole world a favor & detain Harimou in Pakistan--infact, please give him Pakistani citizenship.
Its not that he`ll start whining & gasping about living next door to mullah nasbandhi...
he`ll die a glorious, merciful death of ``subacute idli-sambar withdrawal``...
now,... i`d pay real money to watch that show!:)

`` Eventually it is a matter of one`s choice, but at least one Hindu south Indian
(Harimau) seems to disagree with you. I somehow cannot rationalise the
thought of Pakistanis descending on helpless South Indian tourists in Lahore,
for no reason other than they look different. ``
1. Some South Indians do know Hindi. I am not sure where harimau fits.
2. One Harimau could visit Pakistan and come back alive. The odds of not coming back alive are one in a trillion. If 1000 Harimaus visit Pakistan daily the odds that a fringe group can pull out an attack increases dramatically. I am not saying that most Pakistanis wake up every morning wanting to kill Hindus. They are too busy with their own survival. There are enough nutcases and plenty of firearms available to kill 20-30 tourists easily. You can buy a Ak-47 for less than 100 dollars.

`` That is what I said. In the absence of any statistical data on say total killings / robberies/ what ever criteria per city par year for the last 5 to 10 years, we can only be able to argue without arriving at any conclusion. For example, I will argue that I personally feel safer in Karachi (any locality any time) than in New York. ``
You are a Pakistani in Karachi. How about a Western businessmen in karachi ? Is he safer than a Pakistani in New York even post Sep 11 ?
``Explain the origin of Ghauri missile. If it is the Nodong missile how did Pakistan pay for it ? Especially when Pakistan was cash strapped.``
`` This is a conjecture, not a data. Besides, what is the source of information? Remember that now even Bush has agreed that the information on Iraq provided to him by CIA was misleading. However, Bush acted on incorrect information and wrote a new chapter in history that cannot be undone. Similarly, any information could be spread under a concerted effort to malign a country. On how to create whipping boys, read articles by Eric Margolis and M. J. Akbar. ``
Pakistan has no history of a rocket or guided missile program. Building something like a Ghauri out of blue does not add up.
CIA never provided Bush with misleading information. The Bush administration manipulated them. Iraq was/is a contentious issue. On Pakistan-North Korea connection no one outside Pakistan has challenged it. The Japanese foreign minister delivered a snub by not visiting Pakistan during a trip to South Asia. I notice that you refuse to deny it.
Eric Margolis is not a disinterested party. He was affliated with Institute of Strategic Studies at Islamabad which is tied to Pakistani military. I have never seen MJ Akbar chalenge Pakistan-North Korea connection. He has taken the Bush administration to task for Iraq. But then who hasn`t ?
````No one has blamed Iran and Syria for arming Saddam`s remnants. Not yet.`` ``
`` Start reading the newspapers. ``
I suggest you do the same. Syria is separated from Sunni belt of Iraq by hundred of miles of desert which are easy to patrol. Iran will not offer any help to Saddam`s remnants. They have their own dogs in Shite groups.
```` The recent attack on the Pakistani embassy in kabul was carried out by a Pushtoon minister. ````
`` If you are referring to Karzai`s brother, then note his weak position. In any case, Karzai is not a popular Pushtoon leader at all. He is a puppet at best and a stooge at worst.``
A stooge ?? How is Karzai different from the likes of Mullah Omar, Hikmatyaar ?? Karzai is a head of a tribe in Southern Afghanistan. Karzai has not gone around killing people. There is no single popular Pushtoon leader. All of them have limited following among their own tribes.
``Moreover, I will argue that terrorism cannot last long without popular support. And if popular support is there, then it is no terrorism, but freedom struggle or rebellion. By blaming the Talibans for the current uprising in Afghanistan, you will not be addressing the problem. For example, calling Hikmatyaar a Taliban is total stupidity. The issue is marginalization of Pushtoons. ``
It is funny most of them launch attacks near the Pakistani border and run into Pakistan like a bunch of cowards. They seem to lack the balls to engage US troops in Pushtoon areas hundreds of miles within Afghanistan.
Marginalization from what ? They have effective control over their own territorries minus Herat and Kabul which are mixed cities. They know that the US military will hunt Al Qaida operatives and anyone who stands in their way. Most of Northern Alliance forces are north of Kabul.
``Please tell us where the Ak-47s used in Kashmir come from !!! ``
They do not grow on trees.
