When the lights went out, I first thought that it was a local outage. Then I got a call from my daughter in Toronto, assuring me that `it` was not a terrorist act. That`s when I learnt that the outage was widespread. Fortunately, it was just the Americans and Canadians blaming each other about who is at fault. That, we can live with!

Hi Batul: are you Sindhi by any chance? You share the same last name with a character I hope to introduce soon to the world.

ana,

actually, after 9/11, i don`t blame new yorkers for thinking the T word when something out of the ordinary happens.

i thought about it myself.

i watched it on CNN for much of the evening last night. . .and i couldn`t help but feel that the anchors and powers that be were disappointed that it wasn`t linked to the `T` word.
