I think we should not interfere in the government business. I dont think that we have any authority to do so. Besides they told us several times that everything is under total control. It is best for us if we just dhania pee kar so jaiN; government told us to do so too. There is no constitution so your application is wrong and rejected. You should have said ``I beg your majesty, in the name of LFO``. You have to beg under LFO. You don`t have no rights. I think you are already on some kind of dhania or something. For your own sake use only that dhania that government prescribes.

It is an environmental disaster ... I can`t believe the admiral in charge calmly saying ... oh its nothing a few thousand tonnes of oil... thats it... its nothing.

umm, maybe it is a national security issue..
India had offered help but Pakistan said they are okay. I would like India to help because Pakistan sent aid when we had the earthquake. But if it is a national security isuue, I understand their refusal.

temp, this approach may or may not work (if by work we mean affect policy or repsonse-ability). On the other hand, if it jst serves to sound notice to certain quarters that ppl aren`t completely indifferent to it all, it will have been a start to the change process, however miniscule.
And it sure as hell makes us feel a little less helpless and frustrated.

ARGH!! The mail to the city nazim bounced back because the inbox appears to have reached its limit and I receive an error page after submitting the form at the Ministry of Enviroment website. This all is making me even more stubborn. Are there no peaceful protests taking place against it in the city?

Actually, seriously, I think writing letters to the editor (or to Nazims) will solve nothing. It would be much better for the citizens of Karachi to simply organize a volunteer effort to clean up the beaches, for example. Or to organize an effort to help out the fishermen who have been effected.

Cleaning up the affected beach canot be done by untrained citizens-professionals are needed for the jo-or so is my understanding.
