Can Muslims Become Part of Mainstream Nationalism?

A strange phenomenon may just be evolving.

The younger Pakistani generation feels no enmity towards India, Indianness or Hindues. They have experienced the fruits of religious division of partition first hand. But some Indian Muslims may still be dreaming of that fantasyland of Ummah.

My advice to them is to always love their own rivers, mountains, seasons, customs, culture, language and history regardless of what faith is held by anyone.

All I can say is echo sameerjb: Keep your damned muslims in India. We Pakistanis have our hands full with the kind of ``muslims`` that you describe exist in India. The article below you (by Tahir Mirza) is an example of exactly the kind of Indian ``muslim`` whom we DONT NEED in Pakistan.
PS: We wont mind Ferzana Versey coming over to Pakistan though, at least she has something other than nonsense about ``muslim ummah`` to talk about. But keep the rest of these losers to yourself. I saw some women wearing wierd looking burqas which I was told were the latest immigrants to Pakistan: who let these wierdos into Pakistan anyway??

In fact, take the mullahs who infest Pakistan into India as well. As a Pakistani, I will be most obliged and will pray for all your ancestors and also for all your descendants for this favor. In fact, covert the mullahs into christians or sudras or something, and I will be very pleased.

does the average indian muslim really identify with pakistan? somehow i have a really hard time digesting that piece of overcooked meat.

The solution to your questions is simple and it is: there is no solution. Please do not try to send them towards Pakistan. Pakistan is already full of Muslims with enough illegal Bengalis, Afghans and Biharis.....
