Laila
I knew Razia Bhatti. Soft spoken, humble, quiet but courageous & bold. She was an outstanding journalist.
May God bless her soul.

Laila:
…first a welcome…and hope you continue to contribute profiles and interviews with ladies of distinction from Pakistan and perhaps later from other parts of the world…(not to mention your short stories:))
…razia bondrey bhatti was an exceptionally courageous, warm and dedicated human being and a professional journalist to a fault…
…in pakistani journalism there have been many courageous and daring journalists who have made their mark none has been as daring and bold for as long as razia was…she made a lasting mark…all the more remarkable that she did this in a men’s field…and no, this is not a facetious observation…just a realistic one!
…in no small measure the openness of the press..specially the english press in Pakistan is due to her struggles and un-daunting courage…
…upstart continues to lead the way in investigative jornalism…led by her colleagues rehana, sairah and samina…and the irony is not lost on those who know that the reason she was forced to resign by the Herald (not to rock the boat, not to point the fingers at the powers that be)…is the very raison now being followed by it (the herald)…
…may the flicker razia lit continue to shine for a long time...
