Syed Ali,

Inspiring muses as emotionally connotative consonants do always pervade a soul to dream to attain the impossible. Aspirations are but pragmatic manifestations of dreams dreamt. But possible. Very possible.

Peace!

Sorry for coming back to you so late, I appreciate you comments. As much as we want to to let go of our paradoxes, our paradoxes dont let go of us. Kheruddin is a reality that we would like to ignore, however it will always remind of us of its omnipresence.

Rgds

Wajahat, come on! Please dont feel apologetic for yourself. Anyone who has read it will know that it is inspired by Faiz. He who does not, knows nothing about poetry. Once again, your Khairuudin depicted you as your own. After that I have never found you the same. Where are you? lost in paradoxes?

Even this poem is a paradox, but thats what poetry is about.

You know, good Christians never die. They just transit form one to another.

I am bewildered at Chowk Staff, because they threw a very strong extended methaphorical poetry on ONIONS into the unplugged. I requested them to remove it which they readily obliged.

cheerios

A good attempt at fusion. This is like understanding Faiz through angraizi. But of course, Faiz is a language of its own inspirational depth. I admire the reverence in your footnote. Faiz to phir Faiz hai :)

Roz

My Footnote is an act of self deprecation as I mention the Great Man`s name and work, I must also clear my feelings about ``Hum Jo Tareekh rahoun mein marein gayein`` and my love for faiz`s work. Having said all that, I do appreciate your kind words and the point you made was succinct, however I will let the footnote stand in order to remind everyone that Faiz`s brilliance inspires us all, irrespective of our mediocity.

Temp

I will once again thank you for giving me the confidence to submit this on the main page and for also masterfully editing it. I would also like to say that multi language poetry will takeoff in this ethinically diverse world and become another facet of the ever evolving face of literature.

Has anyone noticed the leftist ambitions of this poem, trailing the rise and fall of the true beacons of the left, Faiz, PWA, Che???

inspiring words wajahat!

however, you should not say stuff like `and does not even crawl in the shadows of that awesome poem`. that part was totally unecessary. i don`t think poems of such topics as these are meant to be artistic breakthroughs. their intention is to inspire with words. and if you think it does that, then you should ask the editor to remove the last half of the footnote. thanks.
