Dear Sirosh,

This is a lovely poem. Anyone who has lost someone near and dear knows that nothing in the world can make up for the loss and the grief. Quoting a famous urdu verse:

``Mohabbat karne wale kum na hon gay
Teri mehfil mein lekin hum na hon gay
Tu agar ittefaqan mil bhi jaye
teri furqat ke sadme kam na hon gay``

I feel that the reunion, if ever, will be more as silence and warm tears staining our faces and of course a very deep rooted but only heartfelt joy. Noone and nothing can heal the scars of death upon a family. May God help everyone in times of sorrow and grief. Amen.

Bless you, always.

A

Happiness, sadness, silence....

When I see you again,
Will it be a moment of disbelief
will it be a moment of distrust
will it be a moment of calm

Read somewhere, the bankruptcy of a soul that expends too much on hope and expectation.

sincerely
Janu

When I see you again,
Will it be a moment of silence?
Silence for fate’s ruthless course

most probably, this one, silence Or Its just, you only see what your eyes want to see?.
cool one.

and I enjoyed the original One more than the 33 words shorter but Nice effort. I really loved the one by T, wrote for FEROZ, someway back in his iLOG plus few more.

Thanks temporal for your feedback but I think that the repitition of the words, `happiness`, `sadness` and `silence` helps create the depth with which these emotions are felt and at the same time put them forward as questions, as yet unanswered...

Sirosh:

...will you forgive this minimalist if from the 108 words he takes away 33?

When I see you again,
Will it be a moment of happiness?
For life resurrected, souls reunited,
For rekindled warmth to last…

When I see you again,
Will it be a moment of sadness?
For the time elapsed, the tears shed,
The grief unshared, the wounds that bled,
deep and desolate…

When I see you again,
Will it be a moment of silence?
For fate’s ruthless course,
For all words unsaid,
Silence, bleak and bottomless…

rgds,

t
